I wish I more time to spend on JPF. There is so much good stuff on here. Here's a song idea I started playing around with Saturday. As always, I am a little lacking on the lyrics side of things. Thanks you guys. I love writing melodies, but stink at lyrics.
I wonder if there are people out there who love writing lyrics but have trouble with melodies.?

You're talking to one. LOl. I have only ever played drums. I couldn't come up with a new melody if my life depended on it. LOl. I love writing lyrics but am still fairly new even though I'm in my 50's. LOl. But when it comes to those notes and chords thingie's--well I might as well be trying to read Chinese--no offense meant to anyone that's Chinese--but you get he idea. Take care,

Hey Roger, are you saying you're interested? I'd love to work on this (or maybe something else) with you. I sometimes have trouble getting on-line but would like to try collab with others again. wow .. besides lyrics the other thing I stink at is drums I usually just play some canned track from my drum machine. It would be cool to work with a live drummer - I think g

I usually have trouble writing to an existing melody. If they have words, I can write different words.

Hey, this one has a great feel. The drums start out a little unconvincing to me, but when everything kicks in, they sound fine. As it quiets down, the drum stand out again. Re-do the drums and you will have a super-duper recording of a very fine song!

Glen,
Nice sounding melody. I was surprised that one of the lines in the chorus didn't go up, it would add a bit of a lift, but it does sound like it is going somewhere, nice tune!!
