Cool video and congrats on the radio show!! Thanks, Kevin! The radio show was a tremendous amount of fun. I was on for almost an hour, but I only did three songs. Michael (the host) was real interested in the whole Nashville thing. I guess he doesn't get a lot of Nashville folks on his show. I'm hoping he'll post the other two songs eventually. Several people who heard the broadcast showed up to see me play in North Miami on Tuesday night. I had to play this song twice (once in each set) because some folks missed it the first time. Both the club owner and the radio host want me to make return engagements.

Hi Calvin, Thanks for checking it out. I AM very confident...at least on that song. I play a lot of shows and writers' nights, and I end up playing that song a lot. I have also done a bunch of radio work, so being at the station didn't spook me. Michael is a great host. He made it so easy to be comfortable. Kurt

How could there's another guy singing this song CJ Watson, something like that.
His version is faster...I like yours better.
Can you fill me in?
Petra Love the song.

Petra Love the song. CJ was a co-writer on the song. He plays it at most of his shows. So do I. There is a minister in Indiana named Dean Phelps who has released this song on one of his CDs. Dean probably plays it at every show. There is a band in Texas getting ready to go into the studio with it. This song is also on my most recent CD "What's Not To Love About That?". Personally, I think CJ plays the song too fast, but he probably thinks I play it too slowly. There's a Bluegrass artist in South Carolina by the name of Trey Ward who plays it even slower than I do. I guess whatever works for the individual artist is what works best. I'm just glad people are playing it.

Thanks Kurt, Here it is live at the Bluebird. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_qm8yojWcg&feature=relatedI like this one because you can hear the audience laughing- not always where you expect it to.

That clip looks great, but the sound quality is not nearly as good as the one recorded at the radio station. As far as the laughter...I was the last performer on before the headliner. Everybody had been drinking (well, not me) all night. The host introduced me as a "very funny guy". Personally, I think a lot of the laughter was the uncomfortable kind, and really detracts from the video. I can't tell people what to think about my songs. I can only sing them.
