Just to warn you, these are the types of people involved with blazetrak:

Police: Man Arrested for Forcing Women to Perform Sex Act in Crystal City :
http://bit.ly/dGfA6m

And Greg Watton seems to be working with blazetrack to promote them on JPF, see his twitter page:

https://twitter.com/#!/thewattonshow

From what I've read, Greg puts on an innocent face here while slagging off JPF members behind their back. Even members who have helped him a lot, like Brian:

anonymous attacks posts like this are pretty low-class, I think.

Hmmm, but those twits were pretty interesting -- especially from the Corey J. guy. Oh well, I guess low class is in season these days.

This is so pathetic. Why do you bother posting this kind of crap?
You don't even have the integrity to post under a real name.

Sounds like you have an axe to grind with Mr. Watton. Your approach is rather cowardly though. Personal attacks are frowned upon here at JPF.

A better approach:

Here are some links to consider pertaining to the legitimacy of Blazetrak

Motive for posting it aside, unless those documents are forged, the information contained in the links are damning to Blazetrak's and Mr. Watton's reputations. And Brian and Big Jim's skepticism of the company now seems vindicated.

It saddens me that some people cannot be up front and say what they mean and mean what they say. It also saddens me that some people use underhand means to talk badly about others, or go behind folks backs especially on other public forums.
I have no time for tittle tattle or tell tales....the anon post was wrong and served little purpose. The person should have had the decency to back up the post with a name we could identify or not bother posting in the first place. That said it does vindicate the stance that Blazetrak is pretty unethical, worthless and nothing short of a scam. But we new that already even before Roy's revelations and Greg's insistance to support them. I had suspicions about BT at Greg's first post....it did not take much digging for me to prove to myself I was right. Welll lets hope we all learn from this experience..... especially Greg who contrary to what he thought on his blog actually handled the whole thing pretty badly..

I'll make this short.

1) I don't work for Blazetrak.
2) I asked Ron about the person in question in that article and he said he is "no one".
3) I said some things out of anger and I should probably have kept it to myself. People say things they don't mean in anger all the time. Have any of you never done that before? I sent an apology to the person and it is up to them whether they will forgive my angry retorts or not.
4) This thread shouldn't exist. Whoever you are that wants to throw punches at me, contact me privately. This thread is a cowardly attempt to slander people and should not be tolerated. This is not what JPF is about and if it is, then I definitely don't want to be part of it anymore. I've learned my lesson. If we're truly to be "all in this together", then we all need to start acting like damn adults. This isn't a sandbox where everyone can go and steal everybody's toys.

Maybe I don't agree with Ott being kicked off of JPF in the way that it happened, but perhaps Brian really did have his reasons and it is not for me to question his motives. Perhaps Ott had it coming.

I acted like a jerk and I apologize. Now lets move beyond this stupid a$$ thread and get to business as usual. I am sure there are more happier things to talk about than this.

I think I should probably take a break from JPF for a while until things die down and this stupid crap goes where it needs to go....in the discard pile.

One more thing, the founding members of Blazetrak are: Ron Harrison, Nathaniel Casey, and Corey J Standford. No one else. I asked Ron and that's what he said. People need to get their facts straight.

Gregory: I sent a "Notify" message to Brian before there was even a reply on this thread. I expect it will disappear once Brian sees it. You had some justification in getting mad at some of the things that were said -- and once we are mad, we all can say and do things we wish we could pull back.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. I hope you stick around, we don't get enough of those LA pop type folks on here.

Kevin

P.S. I did poke some more fun at BT today elsewhere -- humor goes a long way in these times.

I agree it is a bit underhand, the thread is closed and mostly forgotten about,we all had our say.BUT a warning to all DON'T post other comments on social network sites, they can come back and bite you on the ass,but it doesn't make Gregory a bad guy, there was that much flak flying about regarding Blazetrack, and to be honest i think Ron's refusal to Brian's offer, sort of exposed them for what they are,on paper it looked not too bad,but in content, they really ain't got much to offer the Songwriter in the long term....Terry..

I also want to say that EVEN IF the news article is true, and that the alleged person was involved in founding Blazetrak --

This does not make EVERYONE at Blazetrak a criminal, OR accountable for this person's actions, any more than it makes the BUSINESS involved in criminal or lewd activities.

It COULD mean that this guy had a hidden problem that surprised everybody.

Seriously. Just because Charlie Sheen's been called on the carpet for similar or worse, doesn't mean ALL his co-workers at Two & A Half Men, including the actors, director, producers, camerapersons, AD's and tech crew were all A) in the know and/or B) supporting his unfortunate choices.

Think it through, people.

K I'm done.

Linda, Your defense of Blazetrak is a classic straw man argument. No one said everyone at BT is a criminal, or accountable for the actions of one of it's co-founders and partners. But his arrest for allegedly forcing two women to have sex at gunpoint reflects pretty poorly on the reputation of the business and and his co-founders and partners.

The public certainly has the right to draw adverse opinions about a business based on the charactor and behavior of its owners and employees. The right to freely associate or to choose not to associate with a business based on the business' reputation, or indeed its owners or employees reputations, is a freedom all of us routinely exercise.

I surely wouldn't advise my friends and family to have anything to do with a company where one of its owners has just been arrested for violent and criminal actions against women. Especially if it's a startup company with not much of a track record. In my mind this raises serious questions about the judgments and associations of the other owners of the business.

Of course, I don't have any objection to you endorsing the company or being unconcerned about the arrest of one of its owners. As always, Caveat Emptor applies.

I have been getting loads of emails asking why I never responded to Brian’s final comment on the topic that I posted, ‘Blazetrak my experience’ and why I locked the topic.

The topic was closed and locked by Brian and although I offered to go in and tone down some of it, I was not allowed to.

I was pretty well bashed and that was it. No right to respond. I am ok with that, as I don’t want to inflame things anymore than I obviously did in that topic.

Sometimes its best to draw a line and move on.

I did wrongly state that Taxi do not give money back. That was an error for which I apologise to Taxi.

I was offered a refund by them, but as I had used them for submitting I felt that would be unfair of me. I don’t use people and then ask for money back.

Anyway water under the bridge.

This is Brian’s site and he has the ultimate decisions.

Back to this topic and following on from Linda.

I say well said Linda.

What I can't understand is that, lets just say for arguments sake that BT is a scam, then they must have suckered all the big-shots into the game.

Do you really believe that Paul Worley and Wally Wilson to name just two, who have spent a lifetime building a career, good name and credibility in the music industry, are actually scam artistes.

Between them they have had 100s of top hits, controlled and run huge businesses and never with a hint of scandal.

Ok the founders of BT had an idea and set up the site and spent a lot of time and real hard work getting these people on board.

I doubt any of us could get to the people and persuade them to take part in our business idea. No matter what we offered.
You can bet your bottom dollar, that all of these people (at least the two I have mentioned) fully checked out what they were getting into and the ramifications on their good name.

They are music people, record company people, billion dollar sales people. Not cheap scam artistes looking for a quick buck.

I do believe that some (maybe a lot) of those touting for material on BT are just counting the bucks, but come on folks. Paul Worley and Wally Wilson and a few others as well.

So BT run the show, and mugs, idiots, fools, wannabe’s, writers of mundane songs (of which I am one) pay for these credible, above board, beyond reproach unreachable professionals to listen to the songs and give up a paltry 1 or 2 mins of their time in a video. And maybe someday, a song will knock their socks of their feet and then someone will get the reward.

Yep, mabe more chance of winning the lottery.

The odds of getting the right song in front of the right person at the right time are astronomical.

But I do the loittery every week as well.. lol

I don’t know what BT get from the deal, 10%, 20% 30% or even 50%.

That really isn’t my concern. For them it’s business.

Anyway folks. Sorry, and I do agree with a lot that this subject has been killed to death. But sometimes things need to be said.

God Bless Roy… not Helen this time cos she doesn’t understand the topic.

ps. I hope I am not in the brown stuff again.

Garageband.com (remember them?) was sponsored by no less a figure than George Martin, and it turned out to be a complete waste of everybody's time - that was people effectively paying to be critiqued as well (as a form of competition)...mind you, at least you got to try your hand at some constructive criticism!

Agencies that ask for money to listen to your music are of no use to anyone, except the people who do a quick listen and get paid.

This thread is a bizarre turn of events, but I guess personal feelings get hurt and people get annoyed...

Roy I think you're fine. The favorite scapegoats in this soap opera are Blazetrak and myself. I think it is best if I become like Switzerland on this sort of topic. I've already let my anger get the best of me, I can't let it do so again.

Nice to hear from you Dan.

I actually think this is a discussion, and not a battle.

I for one do allow others to have opinions and try to understand their opinions,
even if I don’t agree with them.

That is a good thing. IMO

God Bless Roy and Helen

ps.

Garageband.com (remember them?) No Dan. before my time lol

I don't know who that mckinley c joyner guy is or what his involvement or past involvement is/was with BT. I do know that according to the BT guys, the dude is not affiliated with them presently and apparently hasn't been for several months. I can't blame them for severing ties with the guy.

Who would want a violent rapist with an extensive criminal background on their team and tarnishing your name? I sure as hell would not.

The more I've been thinking about this thread, the more infuriated I become. A friend didn't even think I should have said anything on the thread in the first place, but not defending myself would have been worse I think.

And for this blazetrakkin' jerk to categorize me right alongside this low life dangerous criminal disgusts me beyond belief.

I said a few things I wish I didn't. That doesn't make me a criminal and that certainly doesn't make me a monster. Ugh. Get a (insert expletive here) life!

I'm really mad.

I don't even dislike Brian either. There were things said in the other threads I didn't necessarily like, but I wasn't exactly being fair either on a couple things. Brian, if you're reading this, I apologize to you too. Although I can't apologize for what anyone else said, I can apologize for thinking you were a little arrogant.

Truth is, I know I've been guilty of being arrogant at times. It happens.

If you don't mind, please delete this thread. It's the equivalent to going into a botanical garden and seeing nothing but rows of weeds in the midst of beautiful plants and flowers and not being able to see the landscape in its beauty because the weeds have overrun everything.

Roy you handled it just right IMO and dang, don't folks know that Brian is the only one who can lock a thread here--This is BRIAN'S site. All anyone else can do is quit posting
I'm not going to get into the rest of it except I hope Gregory doesn't stay gone too long

Another reason not to be a volunteer spokesman for any other company but your own. Not all will agree with any company's practices. And the ones that do will hear it from the ones that don't. And then there's this cowardly topic post at the top. Man! Is this a soap opera? "As Just Plain Folks Turns Evil" on ABC. Midnight.

Best thing to do "next time" is to say, "Check this company out and see what you think for yourselves". Then just do what you do and let others not do what they don't want to do. I have learned that mostly from this whole topic on the other thread, and now this.

Thank you!

To be in bed with anybody other than your lover,,,,no good usually comes from it.

I say, "Cancel this soap opera". For it ran it's season into the ground.

I hope he does,,,FOR that will mean he is getting too busy with his efforts to work more and more in the music business!

"Then", I hope we hear from him about his journey. Time away might have him spending more time on his songs and connections.

Hope so! Best to you Gregory!

You know what folks? I've changed my mind and deleted my in depth response. If after reading all the other posts and this one (which all appears to be true and verified by Greg in part as his admission indicates) you still want to do business with those folks. Go ahead. I am done with it for now.

For those who have attacked an anonymous poster who told THE TRUTH, I will remind you that our policy is to not trust what anonymous posters say. But when it's proven to be the TRUTH, then they stop being the issue, regardless of their motives. Do I wish they'd used their own name? Sure. I wish EVERYONE here would, but all of you have friends here who STILL don't and that's okay with you, so why attack this person who has told the truth? There are people on this very post who don't always use their full and verifiable name. Should I delete all their posts too?

To attack the truth and ignore what that truth means about the people who associate with it, or in Greg's case, the level of back stabbing he's done to someone who has spent countless hours over more than a decade helping him, says a lot about YOU as people as well.

Nuff said. Lockdown has begun just as I did with the other posts and future posts about these people.

Brian

PS: The IP address from the top post is not by a current member as I can see so far. But it came from a company out of NY, NY Interesting. There might also be a connection in the Netherlands, but it's hard to tell. Often companies can be used to mimic US IP's so that people in Europe can access content only intended for the US marketplace. So it's either New York City, NY OR it's the Netherlands, but I can't get a city there, so it might just be part of their network exists in the NL. Anyone know what "This IP address resolves to tor-proxy.tritn.nl"
means?
