http://soundclick.com/share?songid=9477299Let The Rain Carry Me To You by Cassie Rae Smith and James Craig Smith August 2, 2010 Let the rain carry me to you today Its chili haze is nothing compared to the space that lays between us Clouds are rolling These skies are dark and gray With every gust of wind I ‘m closer to you every day Baby it won’t be long It won’t be long Chorus: Till I move with the clouds and drop like sugar from the sky Land on your lips ill’ taste like candy but you won’t know why You’ll think bout’ how my love so sweet so far away can be You’ll think bout’ how my love so sweet so far away can be Let the rain carry me to you Oh let the rain carry me to you Please let the rain carry me you Baby it won’t be long It won’t be long Repeat Chorus end

Hey Jimmy
Great lyrics and great arrangement of lyrics in the chorus. Nice pace and imagery. I like the idea of the rain bringing you to her lips... very original and creative.

Hi Jimmy. I like the lyric on this one but you sing it so fast in a lot of places without enunciating clearly I couldn't understand what is being sung without the lyric sheet. I have a friend who was a producer, arranger and session guitarist in LA back in the sixties and onward who told me to sing it like it was the first time I ever saw or heard the lyric because that's how the listener hears it. Other than that I liked it and it is definitely different.
