Hi everyone! Thanks again to all who took the time to answer my questions in the mentor section.
I wanted to share what has happened in the past couple of weeks.
The contract I was offered was from the first publisher I had sent my song to. I was happy of course but I was unsure this particular publisher was right for me (not in a bad way just in a career way) so I took a couple of days and since no other publishers had heard the song, I researched a publisher that I thought might be a better fit
(In the mean time I contacted the first publisher to let him know I needed some time to consider the contract and would give an answer ASAP - I believe being honest is always the way to go - I don't like "playing games" with people)
Anyway, the new publisher said to send one song - I chose the same one "There's No Reason For This Call" and guess what? He liked it and now I have decided to sign the single song contract with him.
I reached out to the first publisher and thanked him for his interest and told him my decision.
Hope this wasn't too confusing I just wanted to share since I'm still fairly new at this and learning as I go -

Good girl Maureen, it sounds like you exercised discernment and didn't jump at the first offer. The bottom line is you still have a single song contract so CONGRATS!! Best, Lynn We're neighbors!!
