ABOUT PAUL QUIN
(MUSIC EXPERIENCE)
Paul Quin has been playing the drums with everyone from female vocalists to heavy rock bands to blues bands to funk/pop bands for nearly 30 years. He started his drumming career in the United Kingdom playing and recording in the Manchester and Liverpool area and played on many jingles and even played for the animation company Cosgrove Hall. Paul played in the English rock band Tora Tora for several years and went on to tour Europe and play in the US before he was 20 years old. Paul moved to the US in 1990 and started playing with Blues bands based out of Louisiana and played gigs from Austin to Miami. Now a practicing entertainment lawyer who specializes in representing drummers, Paul still plays in and around the Tampa area and can be seen playing with his band SumX6, playing with the band 10th Concession and sitting in with friends and clients across the Tampa Bay area. Paul has performed legal work and provided legal advice to drummers including John Blackwell, Derek Roddy, Stanton Moore, Jonathon Moffit, Casey Grillo, Terry Bozzio, Nick Rich and many others and has also provided legal advice and counsel to Cathy Rich and Steve Arnold, Drumplates, Future Percussion Concepts, Ronn Dunnett, J.R. Baker and many others. Paul has worked as a producer since the early 1980’s. Following multiple sessions and an enormous amount of time in the studio in the UK, he started by producing the singles and demos put out by Tora Tora. That turned into invitations to work with many artists on demos. Paul’s most recent production work has been as the executive producer and co-producer of the John Blackwell Project’s first CD featuring John, Will Lee, Corey Bernhard, Paul Pesco, Esperanza Spalding, Terry Bozzio, Davis Mann, Charlie Singleton and many others. Paul is currently working on new projects involving a singer from the UK and with virtuoso guitarist Shaun Hopper.

Thanks, Bobbi. I hope some of our JPF members will take advantage of Paul Quin's offer that you mentioned.
Well done on finishing your book. Sounds like it should be a big help.
