A friend of mine is producing a female singer with a "Gretchen Wilson" attitude, like a female Hank Jr. This singer is not a drinker or partier, but she was, the songs could reflect that (positive stuff). They are looking for "attitude." If you, or someone you know has a song that fits this description, either post here or send me a link to a song...don't send me an mp3 unless I ask after listening to the link (soundclick, songramp, reverbnation, myspace etc.). I won't be critiquing these and will only contact you if I'm going to pitch it to my friend, cause then I'll need an mp3. I don't need anything but the song itself, no need to "sell" me or "hype" me on it. My friend wants some tunes to consider soon. I'll post back when we're done looking.
All the Best, Mike
You've got to know your limitations. I don't know what your limitations are. I found out what mine were when I was twelve. I found out that there weren't too many limitations, if I did it my way. -Johnny Cash It's only music. -niteshift Mike Dunbar Music

I don't know where Michelle Chapman went off to, but I thought this song would be a really good Gretchen vehicle. The demo is really hokey, but the lead singer really sells it like a Gretchen. If you have any interest, I'm sure we can track Michelle down. The demo would have to be re-done (I guess) but it's 100% her tune. Single Mommy U: http://soundclick.com/share?songid=7913955Kevin

I much agree Kevin
Single Mommy U is something I always thought was hit material and if we have to send Indiana Jones in search of Michelle that is whats gotta be done cause that song is Gretchens style in my opinion as well........

I keep getting notifications of posts on this thread (and others) even though I am not clicked to "Add topic to watched topics." Strange glitch.
There will always be another song to be written. Someone will write it. Why not you? www.garyeandrews.com

Single Mommy U should definitely be considered.... I can get in touch with Michelle - I'm not sure if she might have anything else you'd be interested in or not.

Just an FYI - Michelle's computer is down at the moment, but she'll be checking in as soon as she can!

Hi Everyone, Heather wrote to me and told me about this discussion,Thank you all so much for all of the kind words about the song "Single Mommy U"....I have many things happening in my life right now including the expected birth of my first grandchild(my daughter is having some contractions at this very moment)and I have been in and out of the hospital alot very recently.I am also having computer problems,so I asked my mom to let me borrow her computer so that I could respond to you about this song and your comments. All of you folks here have always been so kind to me and I miss talking to each and every one of you.I really hope to have my computer fixed very soon and to become a "regular" here at JPFs once again...I would love my song to be considered for Mike's friend, but just to read your comments was enough to put a huge smile on my face...Thank you all so much.I will hopefully talk to you all again very soon.......Love,Michelle
