Please post any current Portland/Oregon songwriter venues that you know of here. I am trying to put together a current list.
Peace Steven

Hillsboro, huh? I live about 80 miles west of you, in Garibaldi (on the Coast). Not that bad a drive a lot of the year.
I would be interested in what you come up with. I have played a few songwriter/solo venues in the Portland area that were *not* that good (the Jade lounge in Laurelhurst, Insomnia Coffee in Hillsboro), and one that wasn't bad (the Thirsty Lion, in downtown PDX) but is a tad limited--it doesn't happen very often, it seems. I see announcements for various open mikes on Portland Craigslist, but I also see complaints from musicians about a lot of them--I don't know how well-founded they are.
I understand the Portland Songwriters Assn. used to run a number of open mikes around town, but the organization seems to have gone under (as has at least one of the open mikes--I haven't checked out any others).
Are you playing anywhere?
Joe
