Home To Spend The Holidays With You Have you seen the Christmas lights in New York City? Lighting up the square as carolers pass by The lights that light the plaza tree all look so pretty And past the buildings way up high, a string of stars lights up the sky But what good are all the Christmas lights in New York City If you've got no one there to watch 'em shine with you? So I think I'll move my reservation to the New Year And head back home to spend the holidays with you They're gonna have a snow white Christmas in the Rockies The weatherman predicts a foot or more of snow Kids build snowmen in the yard and play hockey As skiers set out for the slopes, bundled up like Eskimos But what good is all the Christmas snow up in the Rockies? If you've got no one there to watch it fall with you? So I think I'll move my reservation to the New Year And head back home to spend the holidays with you They're serving roasted goose on Christmas day in London That tastes so good even old Scrooge would crack a smile With homemade gravy, tasty dumplings, and chestnut stuffin' Some figgy pudding on the side, and a slice or two of pumpkin pie But what good is all the Christmas goose they'll serve in London? If you've got no one there to share the feast with you? So I think I'll move my reservation to the New Year And head back home to spend the holidays with you I'm comin' home to spend the holidays with you I'm comin' home; I'm comin' home To spend the holidays with you I'm comin' home; I'm comin' home To spend the holidays with you I'm comin' home; I'm comin' home To spend the holidays with you I'm comin' home; I'm comin' home To spend the holidays with you

Very nice job. Man, Christmas will be here before we know it

Hi Ralph Good Christmas song It's a really good Piano/Vocal. I assume this is a demo? Are you pitching it?
You didn't say what you are expecting from us as listeners. I'm not sure what the Reservation refers too? But I suppose it doesn't matter.
Are you going to be around in August for the NASBASH.
I am trying to revive the Nashville Chapter. Keep in touch.

Not expecting anything more than feedback if anyone feels so inclined.
The song has been accepted by a song plugger in town who is pitching my other Christmas song but I have yet to pay the fee.
The 'reservation' refers to a stay in the place alluded to in the verses. In the verses, the singer is planning to spend Christmas in the places mentioned, but decides that it is better to spend it with a loved one so decides to postpone the trip, i.e., make/move the reservation to a later point.
