I may have posted this one before, but there's lots of new people here now. This is based on the little dreams that happen between all the snooze button hits on your alarm clock. Just as you get into something the damn buzzer goes off, you hit it again, and start dreaming again. http://soundclick.com/share?songid=3176165Hit the Snooze I'm walking through a city That I never saw before Like I know where I'm going But I'm not really sure There's a girl in a window She motions me with her hand We meet facing at the doorway I reach out to kiss her..and Beep beep beep hit the snooze I've got nothing to lose Beep beep beep hit the snooze I can be late if I choose I lie back down on my pillow Close my eyes and look for her No more sign of the city And her face is just a blur I'm jumping from an airplane No parachute at all I'm not scared, cause in a dream You don't hit the ground when you fall Beep beep beep hit the snooze I've got nothing to lose Beep beep beep hit the snooze I can be late if I choose Every morning I live Through two, nine minute scenes Each one plays differently On my dreamland silver screen Beep beep beep hit the snooze I've got nothing to lose Beep beep beep hit the snooze I can be late if I choose

Thanks Dan, Bob, and Louis (I keep typing Lois). Glad I'm retired now and don't have to deal with alarm clocks anymore.

Quite an amusing song, lyrically, but delivered in a way that suggests it's a deadly serious subject. Which is a nice contrast/tension.
Trying to think who the vocal style reminds me of.

Very nice Rick I can hear the chorus during the opening montage of a movie or TV sitcom. How's good Old St Augustine?

Thanks Glynda and comradec. I appreciate your listen and comments.
Mike, St. Augustine is still old. Thanks for your listen.
Polly, the break was a last minute addition. Just sort of popped up as I was recording.
