This one I wrote a sunny afternoon intented for children
but when I had finnished the lyrics and a bottle of
port wine All I was able to do with it was a blues.

...Well here it is.
I hope some of you folks will give me some honest critique.

.........................................................

ANIMAL BLUES

Goo goo goo Goo goo g Goo goo goo
I'm the dove!
I'm the Holy Ghost from above.
Kra kra kra I'm the crow
I'm easy to spot in the snow

Ma ma bahh, I'm the lamb
In a year or two I'll be the ram
Moo moo, I'm the cow!
If you want good warm milk, milk me now

Oink oink oink oink, oink I'm the pig
You can eat all of me but my...
Vuf, vuf, vuf, vooohh I'm the dog!
I'll eat anything but a frog!

Kwak kwak kwak I'm the frog!
And my best oldest friend is the dog!
Baaah, baaah, baaah, I'm the lamb!
In a year or two I'll be a real ram!

Rap rap rap I'm a duck
All I've got on my mind is to... forget that...
Miau, miau, miau, I'm a cat!
I'll play you some chicken picking Strat

(strat)

Goo goo goo Goo goo goo Goo goo goo I''m the dove,
I'm the Holy Ghost from above from above.

Great animated sounds of nature's children! [smilin] my grandkids would get a kick out of this song!

Hey that the duck line is so humorous! Loved it.

I love your composition Dan. Very good write indeed.

Hi Ken

Nice to see a post from you.... well do BiG kids count?....... I like it

I guess if you want to make it more for children you could say

Oink oink oink oink, oink I'm the pig
You can eat all of me and......... dance a jig

perhaps add some kids making the sounds along the way with you.

anyway -- real nice blues ! jm

Cool song. A nursery song for adults. Enjoyed all the neat sounds and always love the blues.

Ken...great performance.....I knew the music sounded familiar to me.....it sounds just like Canned Heat "On the Road again"...very similiar....for "little" ones too heavy, maybe alittle scary....for bigger kids and adults very good....imho....great vocal....Bob

I love this one, Ken!!! Genius....super tight work here. You have all the bases covered....production, performance, and a sensual, earthy composition that, while it probably would go right over the little one's heads, hits dead-center of this lady's blues-lovin' soul!

Thanks everybody for nice reviews on this one.
I'm happy that some of you found the fun.
What is funny in Denmark is sometimes the oposite in other countrys.
And thanks Ellen for pointing out that you liked the song in the first place. Because of you it has got more than a hundred airplays on Midnight SPECIAL Blues radio station on Live365.com

Greeting from your viking

Great sound. I love the contrast of the nursery rhyme lyrics to adult blues. Novel idea.
Very well done.

Ken,

This is really good. Lots of childrens' songs have double meanings and this is no exception.

I really like the harmonica after the crow -

I really like the Strat solo.

Obviously Danish animals make the same sounds as English speaking animals!

The song translates well into English. Good job. No need to change anything.
