http://kendamkier.com/honey%20bee%20feb%202010.mp3 These lyrics are from Jay, my English friend. Serious reviews will be so very welcome!!! ........................................................ Well I chased you round the garden with my big old net But you flew on by me I ain't caught you yet Buzz from flower to flower Everywhere you roam That's why I ain't managed to Bring you back on home Ch: Honey Bee You make a mighty fool of me My Honey Bee How I would never set you free Now Honey Bee though you treat me dirty mean I plan to wait for you Prettiest bee I've ever seen I'd like to get together So the two of us could jive But it's such a challenge to Draw you out that hive Ch: Honey Bee You make a mighty fool of me My Honey Bee How I would never set you free Solo If I could arrange it that The two of us should meet There's no doubt at all That we'd sure make something sweet Well Honey you may be the queen And I may be the drone But I'd love to capture you And get you all alone

Hi Ken , are you tiered of to much praise ? It`s hard to be something else than positive when I hear great playing. I get a Chicago Blues feel, love the variation in the guitar playing. Drums and bass played with a steady hand. Vocally I did not feel the blues exept in the end..... "Sting me" I was thinking wow, if Ken could have that feel when he started the song. Overall , great instrumentation , vocal a bit monotone. What I would love to hear in the track : a horn section and backing vocals. All the best Jan

Hi Ken,
This is very cool. I love the blues. Your playing is really well done. I've told you before, I love your singing, it's very smooth, kind of like honey, but for this type of song, you need to dirty it up a bit. Like Jan said, towards the ends you were getting a little more emotional. You need to do that right out of the gate. It was still an enjoyable listen.

Hej Jan (and Ricki), "Vocally I did not feel the blues exept in the end..... "Sting me" I was thinking wow, if Ken could have that feel when he started the song. Overall, great instrumentation, vocal a bit monotone." At first I thought - Oh [naughty word removed]¤%#¤%"¤"%#¤%"¤ But I asked for serious reviews, and that is what I got from you. Thanks! I realize that my vocal is exactly what you are pointing out here. The thing is, that I never learned to sing and I rarely sing on gigs. I always played as a sideman and sung a little harmony now and then. This song is made on request from my friend Jay from Songramp he wrote the lyrics and asked for a track a la Stevie Ray Vaughan. I just can't sing this style. The question is: "Shall I spend time trying to learn singing?, or should I leave it to people that can sing and concentrate on songwriting? Without yours and Ricki's response here I wouldn’t have asked myself the question. Thank you both for that!
Thanks Calwin, Dan and Wong(-: I am happy that you enjoyed it!
... and thanks Joice for posting the valentine. Beautiful picture. Wonder if you made it by yourself? Really funny synchronization of the event(-:

Hi Ken: Cool - a blues-rock song! Great way to start the day! Diggin' this - love the guitar.... As for the vocal - there are many different styles of blues-rock. This is done the way I think Clapton would sing it. It works just fine. Having said that, it would be cool to hear a gruffer treatment that you are obviously able to do. Is largely just a matter of personal taste, I think.... Scott
