Now this is what I am talking about.

I consider myself a decent, good, songwriter (if I can be modest) and actually enjoy all I have penned over the years. (Well most of them.)

I come on to JPF for the 'pat on the back' and always enjoy them but what I really look for and enjoy are those lyric/stories/messages that pop out at ya and have ya saying, "Yes. That is what I was looking for."

This is one of them. Short, sweet and to the point. What a great message and life lesson to hear and hopfully learn.

I will have to check out the blog.

Great and I mean great lyric Stan. You have the knack for sure and now you are going to have to start meeting those people who will get to know you and make these gems available to all.

WOW..a Cruise...ya Lucky Couple!!! It's been YEARS since we last went on one...to Cozumel & I Forget Where! (Took La Femme on her first Submarine Ride...they had a small one, to explore the nearby reef. STILL couldn't interest her in SCUBA Divin', but Lord Knows I've Tried over the years!!!)

As for the "Startin'"...I was thinkin' more on Writin' than on Exercizin'..tho, yeah, I oughta start on THAT again, too! (Got more on my Gut I'd like to shed than on mah Backside...tho havin' German Ancestry, ya get it from Both Ends as ya Age...)

La Femme's big on Swimming...so she's in FINE shape for a near (I'm not supposed to tell)-Year-Old! She still passes for "40-something"...WISH I did..heh! But you couldn't PAY me to go swimmin' Outdoors in 60-degree weather...(UNLESS I had on a Wet Suit!). (I've been in 40-degree water with one, a few times, & was Warm-as-Toast!!) But, yeah, Swimmin' On A Cruise Ship...GREAT Way to Get Things Started!!!

wondrin--noticed there was a Tampa chapter--r u involved w/ that? My honey & I are always talkin bout hittin Busch Gardens--might at least ask your opinion on a good area to stay( I can find deals online--but u could tell me if its an ok area, etc...Also--if u know good songwriter rounds or original music spots--always dig that, too. Due to Clock Biz/Unsold House Reasons, I've not been able to spend any time with Singin' Duties/Recording Visits...so I've had to let the Tampa JPF Chapter slide these last few years, regrettably. They're a Great & Fun Buncha Folks..& a Very Active Chapter. Originally-Headed by Al "The Pal" Alvarez, then by Jerry Jakala...MIGHT be Al's Baby Again...I regret I've not been active enough to know, though they're BOTH Really Good Musicians and People!!!

The only active Live Music Spot I've stayed aware of in town is "Rick's on The River"..not too-far off the Hillsborough River & Hillsborough Blvd. There's also Ybor City, which has a major Bar Scene. WAS a lotta live music at Channelside--near the Cruise Ships area Downtown Tampa..tho the 3 biggest nightspots there got evicted...a month ago..'cuz they weren't making their $57K a Month rent (!).... Al Alvarez or Jerry J. can FAR better fill-ya-in on Where Stuff is Happening here...than can I, these days!

As for Places to Stay...safer, yet more expensive, are the ones near Dale Mabry Blvd/Interstate...and Westshore/Interstate. (If it's you & the Mz, & ya got sleepin' bags, we got a Pink House (with a hard-drinkin' Gulf War Vet, currently sole-occupant) you're welcome to crash in for a few days..tho it's pretty Spartan.) Busch Gardens is about 1/2 hr away, by Interstate.

Cold..yep..Frost Warning this AM...bit-warmer rest of the week..tho 60's the High for a couple days ahead...Yecch!!

Hope we still got some Palms left when ya visit! Home Number's 813-876-2707..best time to call is after 9PM when the Credit Card Folks are off our backs. We're hoping to be back to Normal here by Mar-April..but currently The Recorder screens all the calls Daily & we get back to evabody a day-later..usually. Clock Shop's at MacDill/Kennedy Blvd..Open Mon-Sat 12:30-6..drop in if ya get near there & got time to say "Howdy!"

Give my Best to the Tampa Chapter! They got meetings 1 Sunday a Month..lotta Great Performers..I miss it a lot..but am still re-habbing the Pink Place..so I can finally either sell it or Reverse-Mortgage it & move back into the place/pay all the Credit Cards off..& Sunday's my only day I get to work on the place.

I DID check out U-Tube yesterday..spent many an enjoyable minute watchin' the UFO Stuff & "Rocket-Wreck Scene on the Moon". Pondered the come-on for a Mental Exercise CD Package-or-$95 Download on "Dimensions-Jumping"..to Expand My Consciousness, but opted to merely continue Songwriting Efforts Here At JPF..where These-4-Dimensions seem quite Adequate-Enough...heh-heh..So-Far!

WILL grantya this Planet seems poised at the Cusp OF "New Awareness"..& yep, Official Government Admissions there ARE "Other Known Life Forms Out There" WILL certainly Impact on Public Perceptions of "The Importance of Mankind"...relative to The Universe.

But..the New Agers had better Keep-In-Mind that ol' Bumper Sticker that read "Be Careful..I Drive Just Like You Do"...& remember that "They" may be JUST as Warlike...& Selfish...as We currently are. Maybe even More-So. So...I doubt it's gonna all be Peace & Generosity that's coming with the Knowledge that "We Are Not Alone"...

But..heh...we'll for-sure have to "Start Somewhere"/Let's hope there IS some "Benevolence" on BOTH Sides' Part...when "Negotiations Have Begun". (It's probably a Safe Assumption that if "They" can travel through Space & Time...they hold most ALL the cards...assuming "They" even wanna negotiate with "Us".)

Waal...back to my Mere Songwriting Efforts...& we'll let The Cosmos Keep...until Government wants us to Ponder Much-Further.

It's a bit of a Kick to see an Ol' Lyric Resurrected...(&..I'll remind alla you Musicos Out There..I've got 8 Years'-Worth of Lyrics "stored" here at JPF's Lyrics Feedback Forums 1,2, & 3..all but 100-or-so STILL awaitin' "resurrection" & Musication to this day.)

For me, the FUN is banging-'em-out...but La Femme here'd sure like to see a few Checks-Rollin'-In..heh-heh!
