This is one of those ideas and hooks that you hear it and immediately think, "How come I didn't think of that"? Which I reckon makes it a good song because people tune into it right off the bat. Kudos, Kurt! Scott

Thats a really good song we written and you sing it well. Must be something in the water, a lot of AAA material on the boards right now. There are surely some country artists who would like to record a tune this good.

Kudos, Kurt! Scott Hi Scott, Thanks for checking it out. People do tend to sing along when they hear this. Sometimes it's hard to write simple. Kurt

I'm hoping you meant well written, and you aren't trying to lay claim to this song. and you sing it well. Must be something in the water, a lot of AAA material on the boards right now. There are surely some country artists who would like to record a tune this good. I would hope that a country artist would like to record this song, but that old "getting songs to a major artist" is a tough nut to crack. My co-writer does a version with a much more R & B flavor...it sounds more like Keith Sweat than Toby Keith. Thanks for listening!

Kurt, that is simply marvelous. Makes me think of Jonathon Edwards. Anyone could do this one proud. What's not to love about that?
have fun, John

have fun, John I used to perform JE's song "Shanty" (who didn't?) back when I was living that life. I still hear somebody do it every now and then. I guess that's as much as a songwriter can realistically hope for...to have somebody still playing your song thirty-some years after you first released it.

Holy smokes! I like this a lot! Very melodious, and a great hook...suggest to change your title to the hook!
Real cool harp man...wish I can play like that!
Excellent session for me!

Stan Hi Stan, Thanks for listening. My title is my hook, albeit a shortened version of it. If someone were to ask for this song, it wouldn't be hard to figure out which song they were talking about. Once upon a time, I might have called this "The Hammock Song" or "Honeysuckle Floating" or "We've Got All Night" or something obscure like that, but now I know better. The harmonica is a Bb Lee Oskar played in 2nd (cross harp) position. The song is in F. I've been playing a long time, but this is not really a difficult part. Spend a lot of time with a harmonica, and develop nuances and your own personal touch. Thanks again, Kurt
