http://soundclick.com/share?songid=8371802 There must be... a place somewhere Where I can go, When I’m lost... in deep despair and feeling low. I must try ... to get along but what a mess What’s the point... to sing a song of emptiness? (Ref)Time is running out so fast now. If I could scream and shout and tell you how I'm obsolete antiquated and frustrated So I’ll sing a silent song unvalidated And I don't care if you are bored or if you hate it Course it's me and behind all these words There's tons of love and tenderness And S.O.S. There must be... a place to rest Where I can lie Without booze... and emptiness A place to die Without you... my long lost girl I'm bound to go I will sleep...and let the world just keep on the flow

Hi Ken WELCOME I don't know much about you or your musical quest and goals. Maybe I missed a greetings thread somewhere. What ever you are looking to do I must say, there is WONDERFUL musicality to you. I REALLY liked this song because I felt it inside in the first 10 seconds or less Your feel is fantastic, I just loved the guitars! Ya know sometimes you just feel something when you hear something,I couldn't pin down if it is the producer in me or the just the musical feel that makes me want to add great stuff around this song. I guess a bit of both Tell us more about your goals and musical direction when you can. Very pleasant surprise here tonight. Sounded great... Nyyyyyce!

Ken,
Another great song from you! You put so much feeling into your songs. Super song and performance! loved it!!!
Mike,
I've known Ken about 3 years and in that time he hasn't posted a single song that was less than great. He plays multiple instruments, writes lyrics and music. He's quite a singer, too! He's been playing in Denmark for many years and is a great talent. For a non-native Engish speaker, his writing skills are fabulous. It's a pleasure to call him my friend.

Mike's right, the opening guitar parts were really, really good. ... and the whole song is great. You really know how to record, it sounds flawless. Nice guitar work -- I'll have to break out my acoustic again (but it won't sound like you).
Thanks for sharing,
Kevin

Those are my favorite two lines out of this song. Great song I'm on I think my 4th listen. Your music has quite the calming effect. Thanks for posting this.

Thanks so much for welcoming me Mike. I'm new here trying to understand the JPF concept. I've uploaded a couple of my songs just to try get started hoping that members here will lead me in the right direction. My musical goals are to become a better song writer, and to go to USA to learn from the best. I realize, that I'm among thousands of other souls with the same urge and dreams. Here in Scandinavia I've earned my bread as a guitarrist for many years playing gigs everywhere with everyone. The last coupple of years I've done less live-jobs and I've got into writing songs instead. I'm glad that you took this song in(-:
Hi David... You're so good to me helping and supportive. Means a lot to me my friend.
Kevin.... Thanks a lot to you too. Now go and hit that acoustic.-)
NaomiSue, Thanks to you too. I'm glad to know what lines works. After all I'm trying to learn to do it right.
Thanks you all! Ken

Hi Ken,
Wow, another really well done piece. The recording is so sitting in front of you, close up and personal, and your voice is so smooth. A really fine feel to it. I think you already know how to do it right. Now the trick is to get it out into the world. You're already a performer so, JUST DO IT!

Ricki. Thanks for your kind evaluation. Actually I've never performed live singing one of my songs - Yet, though I've been on thousands of live gigs, but as a sideman and playing mostly blues and rock covers. But I'll take your advice and JUST DO IT(-:
Thank you too Joyce Marie and Louis.
Saturday I talked to a guy named Brett Perkins, an US-singersongwriter with some succes here in Denmark. He gave me an evaluation on the song pointing out strong and weak points. So I'll try to imroove it some of those days.
Thanks again everybody.
Ken

Hi Ken,
It is obvious that you have been playing and singing for a long time. Excellent, clean guitar playing. Great voice. Creative lyrics. I like it!

Hi Ken, man, this is so nice. Your song got a hold of me even before the lyrics started. And your little solo after SOS and at the end couldn't be any nicer. Take a bow ! Calvin http://www.soundclick.com/bands/0/calvinstewart

HI Ken, & Welcome!
Well-Sung & Well-Played, Amigo!
I'd re-title this "S.O.S."...(it's more dramatic than "Obsolete")...and maybe insert "and S.O.S" after the "And sing a song of emptiness" line early-on so there's a bit more Repetition of your new Hook...assuming it gets to be..heh!
That, of course, is what I would do with it...but that's a Keep-or-Sweep suggestion & it's your already Very Good Song!
Good Luck with it, Amigo! Best Wishes & a Big Guy-Hug, Stan

Thanks Calvin(-:
Thanks for your welcoming message Stan. I've already considered to change the title more than one time. I guess the ABBA version has been standing in the way, after all, titles are not copyrighted. About the hook repetition... I'll have your sugestion on my mind when I redo the song. Your evaluation appreciated! Thanks again. Ken
