http://soundclick.com/share?songid=82796801999 Demo: Kevin Wicker, Progress Nashville In ’99 when you were mine I thought we had it all Autumn turned to winter And our love took a fall Now I'm counting days instead of years Can't wait for them to end Lord I wish that we could just go back And do it all again Chorus Back in ’99 a fire burned bright Deep down in our soul The world was spinning a mile a minute Now it's slowed down to a crawl So much has changed Yet still remains Guess I’ve lost my mind ’Cause my heart is stuck in 1999 My mind drifts back to that old shack Out on Shady Lake Moonlit nights I held you tight I’d feel your body shake I wanted love to last forever You said that it takes time Now it's all just a memory From 1999 Back in ’99 a fire burned bright Deep within my soul The world was spinning a mile a minute Now it's slowed down to a crawl So much has changed Yet still remains Guess I’ve lost my mind ’Cause my heart is stuck in 1999 Bridge Where does love go when it disappears Cause it still hurts after all these years Time moved on without you and me And left me searching for what used to be Back in ’99 a fire burned bright Deep within our soul The world was spinning a mile a minute Now it's slowed down to a crawl So much has changed Yet still remains Guess I’ve lost my mind ’Cause my heart is stuck in 1999

Roy, Your song is lovely..Almost a Lee Greenwood style to it which is definately appealling to the public. Lyrics and melody are outstanding throughout the piece.. This song can go someplace in the country realm in my opinion and It should. Great SONG Roy!!! BOB

"Whether your next song is #1 on Billboard, or a critical failure by all measurable standards, go look in the mirror. You are the exact same person you were the day before your received the news. Never forget that." -Brian Austin Whitney
