I think my demo of Churches, Flowersops and Bars got zero replies here so let's see if this one does better, haha. http://www.songramp.com/mod/mps/viewtrack.php?trackid=75115Where the Miles Fall Off the Map When an evenin’ mist is hangin’ Low upon the mountainside Then I head out on the highway Turn my Harley loose and ride All them cops and low speed limits Make my iron horse seem trapped So I take a road, follow my own code Where the miles fall off the map When at home I can’t help thinkin’ Women got the best of me If I stay alone and bitter Whiskey gets the rest of me so I keep on racin’ forward Where the past can’t close the gap I lose yesterday, on a lost highway Where the miles fall off the map Let it go full throttle…let the wind blow back my hair Lord, I feel alive, doin’ 95 Nights’ll let a lonely spirit dance where days won’t dare Sometimes in the foggy darkness I feel shadows chasin’ me In the cold light of tomorrow There’ll be mem’ries facin’ me Emptiness is weighin’ on me And a weaker man might snap I outrun my tears, when I disappear Where the miles fall off the map Where the miles fall off the map Where the miles fall off the map… ©2009 Cameron Earnshaw/Robert George

I actually didn't click on the mp3 of this song at first (saw it in the mp3 feedback forum), because didn't care so much for the lyrics, but when you mentioned "Churches, Flowershops and Bars", I decided to have a listen and see if this was similar ;-) The music for both is catchy, but I like this one better, music-wise. Lyrics-wise, the other one scores more content points. But this one has a better title.

ok...I'll go with that, haha. for all the songs/lyrics posted here it's rarely discussed whether a song would ever actually be sung by an artist. I tend to agree with your critique, though. I kind of think they're both fairly commercial with a few artful thoughts in there, too.

Very cool write Rob. This is where you find the riders version of runners high.......Where the miles fall off the map. I wanted to listen to it but it looks as if you've removed it from songramp

Thanks Rob, I just assumed it was me that was technicaly ignorant. I like it even more now that I've heard it. I knew I would like this part....
Let it go full throttle…let the wind blow back my hair Lord, I feel alive, doin’ 95 Nights’ll let a lonely spirit dance where days won’t dare
The last line in particular, but the whole tune lends itself to a freedom and peace only found behind a set of handlebars. Nice work by the both of you. Keep em coming
By the way I've been away for awhile, I wanted to thank you for letting us use your "Long May You Ride" last year at my freinds funeral.

Barry, that's quite alright...it's both sad and an honor for the song to be heard in that way.

I rarely bump my stuff but this is a featured song on American Songwriter's homepage. http://www.americansongwriter.com/bummer...I waited too long. it was on there like 8 hours and now it's gone.

That explains why I couldn't find it. Great song regardless, and congratulations on the feature.
