She walks upon a lonely road Sustaining the weight of a heavy load Wife, Daughter, Sister, Teacher and Mother Wannabe artist, dancer and lover
Knees buckle and shoulders bleed Giving them all just what they need Some days crawling upon the dirt Sweat and stench from willing work
She noticed the sun and an old willow tree Colors dancing and upon one knee, Drank with her hands from a cool clear stream Resting, watching the cacophony of beams.
Then and there she rose up tall How was she supposed to do it all? Wife, Daughter, Sister, Teacher and Mother Wannabe artist, dancer and lover

Samm.. I have not been on here in a while, I am glad to see you are still visiting this thread! I just finished a study in the psychology of the modern woman and the negative side of the woman's movement. Meaning that with any "progress" comes new wonderful and not so wonderful outcomes. I am not one to brutally compate men to women saying one has it worse than the other..I hope it did not come across that way...perhaps I will try to write from the other point of view and you can tell me how close I come? thanks I love the feedback as always, anne

thank you babette, I think that it came across a bit more forceful than I intended..just a snapshot in time where decisions are made and lives continue on its current path or explore new ones.. once again, thank you, anne
