Are you a songwriter willing to take your songs to the next level? Workshop your songs to be the best they can be, and get them out to the world.

SONGSALIVE! CHICAGO SONG CRITIQUE WORKSHOP WITH GUEST SPEAKER STEVEN WEISS-SMITH

Now over 10 year's old, Songsalive! is the world’s largest non-profit educational organization dedicated to the support and promotion of songwriters and composers worldwide. Songsalive! holds workshops where songwriters gather to share their songs, gain feedback and develop relationships within the songwriting communities we have created around the world. The workshop includes an in-the-round song critique session where writers present one song each - either on tape, CD or live - and receive professional, constructive feedback on your song by a music industry professional. (Guest speakers from various arenas of the music industry give their time to give feedback, educate and provide opportunities and insight.) This is your chance to develop your songwriting in a supportive and intimate environment, meet invaluable music industry experts, network with fellow members, and be part of your local songwriters community. Songsalive! is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and promoting songwriters and composers worldwide.

Mary:

Is songsalive open to those like myself who write lyrics only? If so, what can I gain from this? More later.

Peace,
Brian

Yes, Songsalive! is open to those who write lyrics only as well. Our next workshop is this Saturday, Sept. 26th at the Beat Kitchen from 11: 30 AM until 2:00 PM. I am the speaker, and I will be talking about "Business Planning for Songwriters." More information at http://www.songsalive.org/chicago.

Just Plain Quotes
"Sometimes reaching a goal earlier than planned is a great achievement. It shows you have worked hard, pushed ahead and made it happen. However, sometimes reaching a goal far past your original deadline, long after you wanted to complete it, and after the accolades you might once have gotten for the achievement are over, it is an even greater achievement. This shows you never gave up, due to adversity, deficit, criticism and those little life detours that end many dreams and goals. In many ways, this is a reason for even more pride!" -Brian Austin Whitney
