O.K, apparently young Dan has either mobilized HIS peeps, or something underhanded is going on, because in a period of about two hours I've gone from a dead heat to being down by 20! So much for playing fair.{See, this is why I usually AVOID this kind of stuff!}

Bob,
You just need to mobilize YOUR peeps! He probably got scared at how fast you overtook him. So, keep on the SHOUT board and get people to vote! Contests are usually won by promotion anyway. So, DO IT!!!!!

I already see you as the winner.

If the voting system won't allow another vote after resetting the modem/router to get a new IP address or from another net access it has to be a cookie that was set on the computer being used. So, clear the cache and cookies and another vote should go through

I appreciate everything you all have done for me..Apparently one or more of Dan's fans have figured out a way around the system, and stuff the ballot box. I'm not paranoid or anything , but I think his sudden surge is kind of dubious considering that I don't think that many people really CARE,and I think that Dan has actually had more votes than the "Loaf of bread head" actually has "friends" and if that's the case I really don't care. I doubt seriously if HE cares that much, {he's a GREAT guy, and I don't think he's worried too much about it!} Once again, that's why I generally shy away from these things, but apparently someone nominated my song for "song of the year"{Bless em'!}and I wound up in this contest, and when I saw I was getting DESTROYED early on, I appealed to you all for assistance...Keep em' coming, and if you find a way to CHEAT,and have lots of time on your hands, go for it! {LOL] But you all achieved my objective of making the final outcome respectable, so for that I'm forever grateful! Thanks all! Bob.

You just got my respectful vote. Need a Lover not a Mother!!!

I need both! But the percentage being 99 to 1 !

Best wishes. You guys out there sure have a funny accent! Glad I don't have one, living in "South" Jersey. The neutral part of the country! Ha!!

John

I used to have an English accent as a kid, (Me mother), until I got smacked up side the head with my own Crochet stick! Thing is, it was me doing the swinging!

The individuals are who are cheating are creating new user accounts on their computers and and voting that way. Then they simply delete the new user when they are done.

Either that or they are going into a computer lab and voting from several different addresses.

Bob's ahead by 25 votes. Woo Hoo. Going to my neighbors to vote from her computer.

"Grits is one of those country-boy words that is both singular and plural-like deer, elk and sheep. I think the singular is appropriate when there's a modifier that makes it clear one is talking about something specific. Like, 'Grits are good for you, but these here grits is tasty.'"~~Joe Wrabek

Exactly. They changed the rules. Pretty poor spies though, writing about it with the eyes of thousands of people looking on, lol.

Bob, good luck on this. Hope you get em' boy.

I would like to mention about an event we have coming to the Cincinatti area in Sept 11-13. It is called "The Taste of Claremont" street festival, which is about ten miles east (I believe) of Cinnci. Several of us Nashville writers come up to play in rounds. Would love to meet you. Come out and I'll introduce you to some guys. Wynne Varble, (waiting on a woman),Jeffery Steele, Dave Gibson, myself, and about 15 or 25 writers come up each year and are always around to meet new writers.

Hope you can make it.

You know, the ASS known as "Loafofbreadhead" was plugging the little bastard more than he was you, Bob. He plugged him first, and then mentioned you as if everyone should already know where you're playing. What a jackass! I hope you SWEEP this thing. Jean tried to clue me in on how to vote more from my computer, but it's not working. I created new accounts and everything.

You're still winning though...he's lame. He'll just have to face it and have a good cry in his Wheaties.

YOU RUUUULLLLLE, BOBOLINA! I will continue to vote from various other computers. Mwuhahahahaha!

Ahh, Polly. He isn't an ass. He paid a big compliment to Bob. And he did talk about what he was doing and his radio show as well. He's OK.

Bob's up 60 votes, but the voting isn't over until midnight tonight. The other guy may still have tricks up his sleeve, so everyone who hasn't voted, PLEASE VOTE for Bob TODAY!

Let's not only help him win, but let's him do it by a landslide! We are almost there!
