http://www.soundclick.com/bands/0/calvinstewartMouse In The House © words and music by C. Stewart (July 6, 2009 ) CHORUS... I got a Mouse In The House Man I've seen his face He was looking at me Like he owned the place Need a king size Cat with a baseball bat Not a little soft kitten from Britian A cat named "Spike" that'll smash him flat Like a pancake where's he's sittin' Repeat CHORUS... So I cranked up my John Deere mower And I chased him down the hall Fired up my old Viet Nam flame thrower Pretty soon I'm gonna see him fall Repeat CHORUS... Got him on the run with a big shotgun In an uncontrollable rage I'm not gonna cry, when I see him die From a blast of the old twelve gauge Repeat CHORUS... Got a Mouse In The House Not just one or two Got a Mouse In The House I think I got a few Got a Mouse In The House Hey what else is new Got a Mouse In The House http://www.soundclick.com/bands/0/calvinstewart

Calvin,
my thoughts are this...to hell with the mouse...I'm dying to see what kind of Cat lives up to the name of "SPIKE"! I admit, probably not a little kitten from Britain...
GREAT job...AGAIN!

Hi Calvin, Poor mouse! Somehow, I can't see you wailing on a mouse or any other furry creature. You're too much of a flower child lover, not a fighter! But, I thought the lyrics were funny & clever like: "So I cranked up my John Deere mower And I chased him down the hall" What a visual that is! Cool guitar effect as well. You're too much! Ricki

What a odd ball song you have there dude, have you anything left of what you were smokin? Ha ha

Hey Calvin, I thought they only had crocodiles and "snowbirds" down your way....you got some vermin mice too, huh? I have to ask seriously, though: did you really see a mouse? Otherwise, where the HECK are you getting your ideas? It would SEEM you've gone so far beyond the "write what you know" approach....yet you write this amazingly absurd song as if you were recounting yesterday's activities. Either way, FUN FUN FUN. Only nit might be to pull "Viet Nam" -- it has so many connotations and is such an emotionally-charged word, it made me hesitate and took away from the GENERAL violence and havoc you were wreaking on this poor mouse. I know it would throw off your meter, but maybe instead use something like: Fired up my old Viet Nam MY DOCTORED UP flame throwerThis could also drive home how industrious this Mouse Hunter is!! BTW, I couldn't help but think of Ben Willis' scary cat "IronHead"....I hope you don't mind me setting up the link to his mug shot! http://www.jpfolks.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/ubb/showflat/Number/664749/page/2#Post664749ANYHOO, Calvin, a fun romp as always! Take it easy, Beth

Hi Ricki, Thank you for giving this one a couple minutes of your time when you should be recording another # 1 hit ! I noticed you saw through my killer disguise. I at least tried to be big & strong. Thanks. Calvin http://www.soundclick.com/bands/0/calvinstewart

Hi Calvin,
This is funny and beatnik and I love the sparse music. I like how you morph from singing to speaking and back quite naturally.
My favorite line is "he was lookin' at me like he owned the place"
Enjoyed this!
