If you're lookin for redemption Heaven's the place to start- Perhaps say Jesus is where you start instead of starting in Heaven, or on your knees is the place to startcast out all your demons- I would consider using worries instead of demons and open up your heart

Gary, just in case you haven't heard it, I wanted to point out Rodney Atkins song "If you're going through hell" with this chorus: If you're going through hell Keep on going don't slow down If you're scared, don't show it You might get out Before the devil even knows you're there When I read your chorus, I couldn't help plugging in the Atkins tune. I don't remember the group but there was a big rock hit back when with the hook "if you want to get to heaven you got to raise a little hell". This is different but that hook is stuck in many minds.

John thx John this came to me about 5 yrs ago when I said this to some people , my exact saying to them was that to get to heaven you gotta go thru alotta hell first on earth, then I worked on it for a long time then waited for the words to come to me finally one day they did.

Good start Gary. You have two strong lines starting your chorus. I can't get a melody in my head to match the first two with L3,4, & 5 of your chorus. I think rearranging might help. For example:
If you wanna go to heaven
You gotta go thru hell
'Cause life on earth, for all it's worth
Ain't no fairytale
When you climb up to that mountain top
Indulge in Angel air, 'cause you didn't stop.
If you wanna go to heaven
You gotta go thru hell.
Also V3 L2 I suggest changing "to" to "you'll" to make it more personal.
As far as content is concerned - What is Angel air? Unless this term is understood by Contemporary Christian fans, its presence in the chorus may hurt the song.
Even if this is just a light-hearted nonsense kind of thing it doesn't work because of the heavy messages in your verses. So you have to determine if you want a light-hearted or heavy song here and adjust your lyrics accordingly.

Thx Summi, will look it over more as soon as composer picks up on it, angel air is my own made up (I kinda think it's like eternal air that is so much different because it's the air your soul gets in heaven only )
