Hi Frankie, & yeah, I like what you've written.

It still feels somewhat racial...though, yes, it's quite "due" I guess.

Still, for me, I see Obama as An American,..& NOT "a Black American". After all, he IS "Half White" from the Onset..& ALL races certainly deserve to be proud of the Voters' Selection.

I like his selection of a Hispanic Woman for the Supreme Court...& I hope he can continue to do his job in a NON racial way as he so-far seems to be doing.

Hopefully he'll renew the Pride that ALL Americans USED to have in their country. (I doubt I'll blame Obama if the Economy DOESN'T straighten out here...but the Overall Voters will if we're still in a mess 4 years from now.)

He's ruling a bit of a "Humpty-Dumpty Country" at the moment..a Very Inspirational Helmsman... Thanks for penning a Very Inspirational Song. Keep your fingers-crossed these next 4 years, Amigo!

Frankie maybe you didn't know he's half white too, and a president should only be an American first if he's that then it doesn't matter whether he or she is green purple orange or what color being American has no race or color or gender

I think it's you who didn't know that he's half black! I am Kenyan and Obama has his roots here! How could I fail to know about Obama? About color Purple or Orange or whatever I don't know what you are talking about. This change you are talking about has only suddenly come and that is why I say the wind has changed direction. How many female presidents has America had in over 200 years? Or are there no qualified women in all these years?

Howeever I did not want to be taken as racist. My point was that Africans have suffered for too long and that is there in History which we cannot erase. I am sorry that this lyric came out the way some people have taken it. I relate with each and everyone. Perhaps you could go through my other lyrics on the boards and get what I stand for. I guess it is a failed lyric in terms of its projection. I am rewriting it.

Frankie I can respect your viewpoint but if (Obama) were to be found out to be an African, he would be cast out of office so fast it would be history that an illegal was in the seat of the highest office of president because our laws forbid this and that day of judgment will come soon , I only bring this viewpoint up because you state in your lyrics that he is from Africa

Thanks for the clarification. I am a reggae artist and we don't sing about American laws or the constitution as per America's viewpoint, despite the fact that I love Americans and relate with them. In fact whoever taught me music is a white American lady! One of the most wonderful people in my life!!!! I sing about reality, not the American way, but the universal way. In our African culture, you are what your father is or was. So we Kenyans say Obama is African! I cannot change that line because I am not American and I live the African way! However thanks for the viewpoint. We sing about a world where there are equal rights and justice for all, a world where there is a universal constitution from the Most High - The Bible in my case. To me you and I are brothers of the same father regardless of color or creed, ore even Geographical location! Thank you. I am rewriting this for a universal appeal. Sorry how it projected out.

Hi big brother Tampastan!!! It has been so long!!! I am sorry that ths lyric seems to stir up emotions racially which I did not intend. I understand everything you are saying and respect that. I am rewriting this lyric in a more universal way. My only intention was to say that things are changing and that they are not the way they used to be. That racism seems to be ending after decades of slavery and colonialism. That is all believe me! But I think the safest thing to do is to rewrite. Thanks!!
