Remastered/Enhanced Old Song & 8 Track Analog recording...I'm putting together a very limited edition CD of Falcaro Music for sale soon.... Even though some of our favorite tunes were done early on, the cassette master recordings are just not strong enough to use on a best of compilation CD. This CD will include some very cool songs! including this one..... along with "Under The Weather" "Forget Me Now" "Something In The Rain" and others! Boy I could here our own Joice Marie singing this song now A Man's Desire ©1991 Mike Caro & Mike Falco www.substudiomusic.com/AMansDesire.mp3I seen it in a wistful eye Her life ambitions wither up and dry A young mother of two Gives up what she' wants to be For a man she's known since school Will he love them And never leave Will the children run where they can breathe Or will he lead them straight into the fire Of a mans desire Little town where they marry young All you see are children with children of there own He decides it's best to leave He thought that what he wanted, was responsibility Will he love them And never leave Will the children run where they can breathe Will he lead them straight into the fire Of a mans desire I know you think that' it's too late I say it's never too late to change your ways The pain is hidden in her face Long years of trying She's never gonna lose faith Will he love them And never leave Will the children run where they can breathe Will he lead them straight into the fire Of a mans desire Of a mans desire Of a mans desire

Mike, that is compelling. The tone is so effective. You know how to convey the mood --- just the right combination of sounds and space. It all works so clearly and so beautifully. You are the man...... What can I say?////

Tom Thanks again Tom! Headphones are really the way to check this out. The BIG ceramic hand drum the Udu sounds really cool The song has that acoustic alone vibe but needed to have a haunting feel. I thought a Man could be scary, obviously! in many ways LOL Especially to a young woman! So there's actually alot going on in this mix but it''s mostly all subtle and you don't notice it. just feel & sense it.

HI Mike!
Yes! I love it! there are so many things to like about this. But, I say that about almost everything you do. The thing is, I always mean it.
Very effective use of the echo on the vocal. Just enough without being prevalant. And the harmonies are super. I love that udu. the tone of the acoustic is fabulous. Your vocal is spot on. And, of course, the mixing and mastering are top shelf.
Hmmm...a vocal ambience? Ambient music seldom has a vocal that works. This works! Terrific job, Mike! I thoroughly enjoyed it. All the best to you and Tripp.

Hi Mike,
What a powerful mood maker this one is. I always pay attention to lyrics but the wistfulness permeates the music itself. The production enhances that mood as do the vocals. Excellent work all the way around.

Man, there's so much soul in your music...

Thanks Al
It's old but I still enjoy it. With the stuff we were doing we REALLY enjoyed it. It was a magical moment for us. Sitting at home in the studio ALL night just creating and recording at the same time. It helped me grow sooooo much musically.
This is Mike F singing not me... He is the one with the raspy voice
We listen and love SO much different stuff we were able to adapt the styles into this song. It was really Mike F who did it.. I had the song faster with a Stevie Ray kinda riff rock blues song... But Mike thought the mood should be set like this. He showed it to me and I LOVED it.
He took center stage on this and I jumped behind the board to catch it all and help direct it... Afterwards I started adding the various keyboards you here through out.
I miss my best friend as we hardly ever see each other.. but we did spend a solid 25 years playing and working together...
Thanks Al I have a CD with your name on it here!
Also found an Instrumental unfinished I'm thinking of giving it to you... Maybe that will spark it and it will be done finally!

I am listening in headphones and can hear the subtleties. The drums sound very cool. Thanks Colin.. I miss that 8 track reel to reel as well as my friend It's SO warm! and the lows just fill the air with sound. I'm so glad you took the headphone route it is the way to check out the cool things in there and where they sit in the mix. Without a drum set we didn't have to bounce tracks to death on this song so it sounds real nice... Thanks Buddy!

Ricki Thanks Ricki This one goes on the CD for sure..... Like I said I always wanted to say something about how a life can be affected by someone else in this manner. I saw many young girls pushing strollers and thought to myself I hope the guy is a man and does the right thing. It's often hard to to the right thing and guys can definitly fumble the ball

I don't know what that word means but if it's GOOD than I'm that! lol I don't HAVE this track anymore I do still have the rell to reels though If only I could get another 8 track machine. Here's the crazy thing it cost $5,000 I sold it for $500 and now i couldn't buy one if it was free and i had to pay shipping LOL... Why am i laughing? YEs I would give you the track, MAYBE somewhere by some miracle I have an instrumental mix. I always try to remember to do one but often forget!! I could give you the chords and the pattern OR maybe I'll play it to click here send you the guitar and you sing it.... Haven't been able to sit up long enough to do much.. Seems to be the story every day with me. I'm trying to finish a video for mixing for substudio to share with all you, But it's difficult. Also I'm always by myself down there I feel like a lunatic The first FAlCARO CD mailed out is YOURS! You do sound like Michele! hey she's gonna have my head when she finds out her favorite song "Bicycle" isn't going to be on the New Pressed CD YIKES!

Mike, It takes so long for my computer to load these, that when it finally came-on, I nearly jumped from my chair. Guess you're paying me back for the string squeaks on my song. The music on this is awesome. I was thinking the Police paired with Genesis or something. Anyway, it's way past my bedtime..so the brain is challenged. It's also a very sad social message. My best friend in high school got pregnant at 16. She married the guy..he was a loser/pothead. They had a couple of additional kids and then he was gone. I talk to her once in a while. She's had a hard life. I'm glad your putting this one on the CD.

Hi Mike, Really nice work. But darn it...Just when I think I get a decent sound out of my makeshift bedroom studio I hear something like this and want to crawl into a hole. Oh well, I'll keep trying, haha. But in all seriousness, really nice work as usual for you.

Love it, Sub. The percussion is great - it has, for lack of a better word, a really cool liquid sound to it. Love that chord change between "fire" and "of a man's desire" - haven't sorted out what it is yet but is a real nice subtle touch. It sounds GREAT over my 'phones... Good pick for the CD - looking forward to hearing the others. Scott
