gotta love chicks with tentacles ,right?! Lovecraft is truely the master of the genre he created! There is nothing that even comes close.. (maybe Abdul Alhazred!)
I didn't recognize the character name here, but I certainly understood the phrase "warning some nudity"! My question though is... what exactly are you warning 'some nudity' ABOUT? Frankly, MY nudity has a mind of its own and won't listen to a word I say...
Nevertheless, the drawing is fab, per usual. I'm so impressed by your attention to detail...and I particularly like the perspective and composition of this one, with her slightly off-center and looking away from the viewer. Gotta check out that series....
And HEY just think, if you write a song about her, you'll be all set for Artist Challenge #2!
OK - here's my critiques: The hair spikes - they are only on one side. I know from "personal experience" that if you actually use these to hold your hair in place, they stick out the other end.
Observation 2: third chain from the right has smaller links that all the other chains. Is this further away, hence perspective? I see no shadows suggesting distance.
can you tell I'm grasping at straws? Your work is great, and when I saw the "warning" I figured I just HAD to check it out. Especially since this is the only action I ever get.
I especially like the bit of relective green glow right above her breast from the light source. Nicely done.
It is a very nice job. Did you graduate art class at Miscatonic U? (Go Pods!)
Only nit piks are: The creases in her neck (neck fat) are usually seen on heavy people. She doesn't have an ounce of fat on her.
Did you create he based upon another image? Because usually you expect these women to be beautiful, and I don't see her face as beautiful at all. Ah,well. Beauty is in the eyes of the beer holder.
The size of the tentacles and suckers, kind of inhibit typical tentacle porn, or would require her to be so cavernous as to be unappealing to all but the most well endowed men. I can't believe I just typed that. I must be drunk.
Kenneth Cade: Thanks I would agree but then again Abdul only went mad because he angered Cthulhu by saying "Thank you, and come again" after summoning him. Ehhh that is kind of a bad joke on well.
Calvin: Thanks =P
Tom Tracy: Yup there is perspective on the chains but the cast shadows are weak and very subtle. Glad you like the work.
Joice: haha no it is not age it is just her waist is thrown out for a little contrapposto for the pose.
Joe: That is funny I was thinking the same thing.
Noel: Glad you like it.
Danny: No I didn't graduate there but I hear they are interested in me teaching there. They just can't seem to get the sigils correct.

Until you tell me otherwise, I shall choose to believe that your brazen :o omission of me in your otherwise comprehensive response post means that you will be dedicating an ENTIRE post to me!!
Though I suppose that Priestess chick could be considered by some to be distracting....
Honey, you still need to catch up on your sleep (or maybe I do) !! Either that, or my two posts -- which I felt were vaguely humorous -- were in fact much more obscure than intended!! YIKES!
On my first post, I totally understood in reality you were warning potential viewers about some nudity. But trying to be funny, I was pretending "Some Nudity" was the entity YOU were warning about US . In other words, "Warning, 'Some Nudity'. Just wanted to let you know there are gonna be a bunch of dirty-minded folks coming to take a look at ya -- but I guess that's the price you pay when your name is 'Some Nudity'!" So if you can figure that out, then go re-read my post, and hopefully the modicum of humor you can find in it makes up for this lengthy explanation!!
And as for you "forgetting" about me, again, I was just yanking your chain, silly billy!! (HEY, that's funny, given all the chains in the picture!!! HA HA) I had hoped the half-dozen or so smiley faces dropped in every couple of words or so would assure you I wasn't upset with you at all.
So anyhoo, I've likely given you a headache by now...but just wanted you to know I'm totally fine and hopefully you are too.
Well apparently someone at Photobucket thought it was indecent or something. Pure censorship, because they are unwilling to accept some forms of art. That kind of action when concerning art offends me something royal, in fact I wouldn't mind going into an old fashion George Carlin rant but because I have control over my emotions and actions I won't.
Toby, I followed that link, but it was insisting I join. I don't think I want to do that. I don't know as I want to have any truck with people who consider H.P. Lovecraft vulgar. (And that includes your artwork, by the way, which I think is a perfect fit for Lovecraft's stories.)
H.P. Lovecraft may be disturbing (as are your drawings), but hardly classifiable as vulgar. These are probably the same politically correct people who took the pictures out of Deuteronomy.

I just enabled file attachments on this forum for up to 1 meg of space. Does anyone want to test it out and see if it works? I have no idea other than I enabled it here. .gif or .jpg can be used.

Just tried it out Brian, that rocks. I might suggest that since there is only 1 gig of space then there should be a restriction on file size. I suggest keep it below 438kb per attatchment. I will say that this will attract more artists to the site and I will spread the word over at DA.
Oh and the way to just show it is after you add the file submit the post click on the link, copy the address, then edit the post and hit the edit image button and paste the address there.

Well... I kept it at 1 meg so we could test it out. If we find that people are abusing it we can just clear it out. We have 4 terrabytes of space on our new server, though I think half of that backs up the other half. This has always been available but we didn't want to get overwhelmed with people posting music files because we don't have the bandwidth to stream all that music and our site would slow down or stop. But some graphic files are far less of a strain. If this becomes a problem, then we'll just stop it. So this is our test. I don't want a bunch of artists who don't really want to be involved here using it as a storage space though. I want active artists who want to mix with the music community like yourself.
