What: January Songwriters Workshop Topic: Setting a Songwriting Goal When: Saturday, January 10, 11 a.m.–1:00 p.m. Where: Tsunami Books, 2585 Willamette, Eugene Cost: $1 suggested
The Songwriters Workshop begins its 6th year on Saturday, January 10, 2009. Our topic: “Setting a Songwriting Goal.” However humble or impressive, having songwriting goals can help us stay focused and motivated. We’ll take a few minutes to set and share our goals for 2009. For the rest of the workshop, we’ll present and critique each others’ songs in progress.
Experienced and beginning songwriters are invited to listen to each other’s songs and share their comments about lyrics, music, structure, and other aspects of the craft and business of songwriting. Songs may be played live or presented on CD. Participants should bring 10 copies of their lyrics for feedback notes. Please try to park somewhere other than in the bookstore parking lot.
The workshop will go from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Tsunami Books, 2585 Willamette. Call Rocky Montenegro for details at 345-1956.

"If one man can do it, any man can do it. It is true. But the real question is, if one man did it, are you willing to do what it takes to do it as well?" –Brian Austin Whitney
