Hi Folks,
It has been too long but I have been swamped with work and it has finally paid off.
Just got word through my MySpace mail that Jerry Corbitt has selected one of my songs for his next album. Needless to say I am very excited.

Not sure just know he's going into the studio with it soon. Said he wants to live with it for a few days and can't get the tune out of his head. I'll know more when we hook up at the songwriters festival in Pensacola next month.

Hey Wayne, I had a listen to the song, it's very good, the melody is excellent indeed so I'm not surprised he can't get it out of his head  I guess he's going to record it as a country song, but it's actually a very versatile song, it could easily be done as a downtempo pop song - the fact it can be adapted to different styles is the mark of a truly great song, so very well done. If you don't mind me asking, who is the singer on your MySpace demo? I'm always on the lookout for singers for my demos.

Thank you all so much for the time you took to listen. I'm not sure what Jerry has in mind for the production. He is an old pop rocker with a country soul so I will have to wait to see what he does with the tune.
Nat, the demo singer is Alison Parson. Brenda Perry found her in Nashville doing demos and shopping for a record deal. She does have a great voice but rumor has it she has been having health problems so I'm not sure what her current statis is. I'm sure Brenda could tell you more through her MySpace page.
