Well this is my very first video clip. Paul the guitarist and Dave is the drummer. I think Paul done a great job with the video clip, I have entered this in the Telstra Road to Tamworth competition here in Australia. I will let you all know if my entry gets excepted. If it does, I will be performing in the competition on the 28th of June Ballarat Vic Australia. Wish me luck hah!

My thoughts on my first clip are, Oh Golly gosh, eek I am too content with married life, grin so I am now on a diet, cry going to go to the hairdressers, grin new cloths, grin I could keep going but I won't, I will be here all day. grin

My myspace link. If this doesn't work I will try again.

Thanks Michele

Hi Michele

I got here FIRST! yeah!

First I wanna say how happy I am for you and how proud I am of you. From someome who was close to quitting and may not be seen of heard of round here.. TO THIS! WOW!

Congrats!!!!

I love the song.. I love the look of the video. But i wouldn't be me if I wasn't honest lol.. It may be my feed but the sync was quite off on the vocal. Could have been intentional, but it had like a stutter effect and from my view lips and words weren't matching up.

Was this a computer/video issue or a lip sync issue. DId you sing outloud to the track.. Also the music track was low, did you you use the free enhancement I sent you? And if so did anybody do something to it smile

SEE - The better you get and the further you come along the TOUGHER it gets kiddo! smile

get back to me - very excited for you guys....

Thanks!
Peace Mike

Hi Mike

It must be your feed, cause I was singing along with the track, he was playing the song in the back ground, and it matches up here fine, except where I buggered up once.

No, I didn't use your great works, as I forgot to take it to Paul's on the day, but after the competition we are going to do it again, and I will be redoing it with your version, and me in a different out fit, new figure, hair style etc. grin I'm taking your version over to Paul's on Friday morning for him to listen to it, cause what you have done to it is brilliant, and NO I won't let anyone wreck your version hah. whistle

Computer/video issue or lip sync issue, I am confused. Paul filmed me singing along with the track, then added himself, Dave & the rest later on his computer. They are a crack, so funny hah. Paul is the one playing the guitar and is the one who does all my production work, and Dave is the drummer. grin

I hope everyone else doesn't get the same feed as you're getting hah. Especially the competition!

Thanks Mike I was so happy to get your reply! smile

Your Aussie friend cool

Michele

Okay, if this is a ghost town, I will put the link up on the MP3 board, but the only thing is I don't know how to put it up, so that it comes to the video here? How do I do that Mike hah?

Cause I am not very good on these computers, I will just post it up on the mp3 board anyway hah.

Thanks Mike.

Hey, if it's a ghost town, it still has the spirit.<g>

Michelle, I watched. Very competently done. No, I didn't detect a sync-ing problem. My video did freeze up a few times, but it always does that when I've been watching too many videos (and I was today).

Only a couple of nits. The volume was low (I had to turn my volume up, and I know the next audio or video I play will blast my ears out if I forget (like usual) to turn it back). I don't know if that's something you control when you post, or when you record, but next time, the volume should really be louder.

I really liked the guitar work; especially liked being able to see the guy's hands when he was playing lead (pet fixation of mine--it's one of the ways I pick up things). The guy sure looked like he was enjoying himself, too. (Not surprising--it's a fun song.) I would have liked to hear the instrumentation more during the verses, not just the chorus.

I'd have liked more bass, too--but that may also be just a pet peeve of mine. I am mostly tone-deaf (which is why you should always take my musical criticisms with a heavy dose of salt), and I like prominent bass lines because it helps me follow the music.

I like your singing. Again, I thought you were louder on the choruses than the verses, and I'd have liked the verses to be louder, too. Is it because you were more comfortable singing the chorus? You have a good voice. I wouldn't be hesitant to belt it out. (Actually, this is a good song to belt out.)

And who did the video work? That was really well done.

Joe

Hi Joe

I will get my hubby to check out the volume when he gets home from work, I will look into it, I don't know why it's doing that, cause I hear it fine hear. But I will investigate.

Paul Nunns done the video clip. Paul is the guitarist playing in the film clip, he done the music production for Don't push my button, and now my other songs that I am working on.

Thanks for taking a look.

Hi Greg

Thanks so much, I entered the contest today, they sent me an email back to say they had received my entry, and they will let me know if I get a spot in the contest. Cross your fingers for me hah.

Did you hear the volume okay? Others are having problems listening to it, so I will have to get my hubby to have a look when he gets home, to see if we can change the volume on it.

Thanks My American Fan!

Hi Michele. Great video very professionally done. There was no big sync prob I could detect apart from your minor cock up but that adds character rather than detracts. Most pop videos have many of these moments so no biggy. The volume was a tad low but still listenable. I do not think that is a big deal... easy to fix.

I think you are on to a winner with this song. It has to be pitched properly to the correct people. It has novelty appeal for all ages. Not many songs nowadays can claim that.
All my family love it and they are not easy pleased.

What software was used, ETC.
I have all this fancy equipment, I have two video cameras, one is New A sony that uses cassete tape and has a memory card and one is an old 8 track Sony that takes great video. It is huge. weighs a ton.
And I don't have a clue how to do this.
I am envious.

Hi Bill

I'll ask Paul on Friday, and let you know how he did it. He done a fantastic job, that I was blown away by it all also. So we are going to do it again, it can only get better hah. Paul the guitarist done all the video, when my daughter and I watched it, we cracked up laughing at Paul's and Dave's faces, they are so funny, and my daughter got all emotional. That said it all to me, she is very proud of me, and also my hubby.

Thanks Bill

Michele,
Your song is very catchy and I love it. But, the thing I love most is the intention behind the song and how your heart shines brightly in every word. I hope you are blessed with the gift of being able to use this song to make a difference in this world. You and your song are a wonderful package!

Blessings,
Heidi

Dearest Michele,
Whenever we get through a horrifying experience, it hopefully makes us stronger. You said, "I live in hope everyday, I didn't go through that horror and pain for nothing."

I remember praying to God and saying, "When will the tide turn my way? I give and give and get little in return. I feel like Job. Will I ever receive anything in return?" And then the most amazing thing happened. I realized that I live inside my own space and that my space is a very peaceful, happy space. I don't live in fear or anger or hate. I realized that THAT is a very big gift and not very many people have been given that gift.

I am telling you this because dear girl, you obviously have such tremendous gifts like your huge capacity to appreciate and love others, your willingness to help on such a large scale, your lovely voice and your talent to write songs. If any of these gifts were strengthened or even initiated due to your horrifying experience, then you've already gained much more positiveness in your life. So it has not been for nothing. Now, let's see if you can add to all the gifts you've been given by taking them to the next level!

Blessings,
Heidi

Hi again Heidi

You know, since I have joined JPF, I have grown so much, you all here have touched me so much, and I get emotional when I think about all of you here. cry Some times I really struggle with depression, and because we have moved around so much, with my husbands jobs, I haven't made any friends, and that really gets me down. My friends live 13 hours away from me now, and I am getting teary, cause I miss them so much. frown

So, what I would like to say to you, is a big thank you, cause I mighten be able to sit and have a cuppa with you, but it is great talking to you, and thanks for the confidence in me. grin I agree with you, I don't ever want to change who I am, I am a very loving, caring person, and that is a good strength, I don't ever want to be like those who hurt me so badly. So I will keep being Me, now that I found myself again. grin

I have reached that level hah. grin

Love always smile

I agree the drummer, he is so funny watching him, and Paul, doing the guitar, wow, he done a great job with my very first film clip.

I should know this week if I get into the competition, if they don't snap me up, it will be there loss hah, cause this Aussie girl is a fighter. grin

Michele this song has that major "catchitivity" factor (no it's not a word found in Webster's) but it's the only word I can use to describe it. Don't underestimate this song because it resembles one of those songs that could have longevity because it is fun, playful, memorable and has that melodic hook that stays w/you. It just needs the right venue... film, sitcom, etc where it can make it's debut. smile

Hey Michele!

Nice song and video! Two things I noticed:

1. It's not very loud coming out of my laptop speakers... maybe you could put a bigger limiter / compressor on the audio for the video

2. Your band is dressed up all funky and you're looking, if you don't mind me saying so, a bit plain by comparison... why is that?

Your the singer of the song! You should be the funkiest and spunkiest person in the video! I'm sure you have it in you! smile

Another thing you may want to try with the next video is to not look into the camera directly (at least not all the time). Cheap trick: put a guy (your hubby?) next to the camera man and look at him instead. It'll look more natural on screen.
(just passing along what the video pro's told me here...)

cheers,
Jim.

bumping a song w/a great message and a very catchy melody/lyric!! If you do redo the video as Jim was discussing above, how about someone pushing real buttons every once in a while or maybe you wearing a big button that says "button" on it and someone is trying to push it and you slap their hand away. Just some ideas to add interest, humor and contrast. smile

Hi Jim & Lyn

Thanks for stopping in and listening to my video clip. The video clip was done very quickly, and we are going to put more work into it now. I had to do this quick to enter into a competition, but I didn't get in anyway, so now we will have some fun with it. And yeah Jim your right, I do look quiet boring, so when we do it again, I will be dressed up more funky & SPUNKY, hmmm, thanks, where working on it.

Sorry it took so long to reply, I have been away for eight days. Thanks a bunch Jim & Lyn for your idea's.

Hi Russ

Thanks a bunch, I absolutely love music, listening to music was one of the tools that helped me through a terrible time. Today, they are now using music, as therapy to help others, and I think that is fantastic.

We still need to do a lot of work to the video clip, but we will get there. I am currently entering the song into competitions here in Australia, hoping to win a professional recorded CD, and film clip. You never know, unless you have a go hey.

Thanks for your lovely compliments, and I agree, Music is Life, so much fun & great therapy.

Cool.

Got To Echo what others say

For a beginer it's very catchy, keep at it it's a simple hook
straight to the point, we dont want novels.

Keep it up, maybe link up with a lyric writer on some future songs. as well , you could have a Hit.

Hi Roy

I am so pleased you like my song, and thanks a bunch for your lovely compliments.

They have played my song on the Radio, in Ballarat, Vic, Australia, and gave me, great positive feedback, and that was a good feeling. grin Cause I have moved since then, I will take it to the radio stations around here in Bendigo, Vic, and see if they will give it some airplay hey.

If I new more about these computers, crazy I would email it to other radio stations, all around Australia, but I hopeless. frown

Again a big THANKS. smile

They may be more conducive to playing it, if you burned it on a hard copy CD and mailed it to them. I know a lot of compilation CDs get mailed from here in the States by Indie distributors and they do get airplay in Australia.

This is cute as can be. I would have liked to hear the verses louder too, but you've got the chorus just right. Good on you!

Hi Michele,

I have been away from here a while, but today when I signed back in, I watched your video and it made me smile. You do such a great job, it's hard to believe you just started performing a short time ago.

What I want to say most, is thank you for your cause. Especially bullying. I have been dealing with a problem within my own family, and you can't know the devastation that bullying can add to someone who is already in a fragile state, and how quickly that can escalate to attemted suicide or even worse. I appreciate you trying to bring attention to something that no one needs to go through.

Thanks again and good luck with your song and cause.

Sorry to all the rest of you good folks too for disappearing for a while, but I don't forget you when I am gone.

Hi Letha

So nice to see you, and thanks hey. I really hope my song, can give victims, the strength to get back up and fight.

I really know what it feels like to be bullied, when I was little, I was bullied a lot, cause I've got freckles, and I was a little plump, I got teased all the time.

Today, you know what, I am a beautiful person, and I have grown so much within myself, that I hope other victims can learn from me. Just sing it hah Hey "Don't Push My Button"

Walk away from those who are pushing you, take some time out to heal, especially if your fragile, cause thats usually when they can get at you worse, is when your weak. Seek counseling, so you can learn ways of how to deal with those who are hurting you, I learnt a lot from counseling. Also, find your true friends, and family who will listen, hug, and support you all the way, cause you need lots of love & understanding hah.

The best thing I did, I walked away, from those who where abusing me, and Wow, I have grown so much, that I am stronger, & wiser, and I am ready, cause they pushed the wrong girl, and I am not frightened of them anymore.

Letha, if you need any help at all, or advise, just let me know, and I will gladly help. I'm sorry to hear you have someone in your family struggling, just send me a private message, and I will be there for you okay. That's what friends are for.

Check out the Success forum, and read my post, "Well I made it". If I can do it, so can others.

Lots of hugs

Your friend
Michele

I heard this song ONCE! and NEVER forgot the chorus! EVER! It is THAT catchy!

This is a hit song, has to land in the right situation, as it's a serious song but has a playful novel feel & vibe. And it's got an old school country pop way about it.

All The Best Michele smile

Thanks!
Peace Mike
