I'm seeking a music pro to lead a one-day songwriting workshop in Eugene, Oregon. We've got a monthly workshop going on 5 years now, and those who join in are generally local amateurs and part-time singer-songwriters. We could really use exposure to professional experience, a music industry insider or successful published writer, for example. Please pass on any referrals to likely workshop leaders who might come through our small city. Feel free to contact me for more info, if that helps.
Thanks, Rocky songshop@hotmail.com

Hi there Rocky, I definitely recommend Jason Blume. He is a fantastic teacher. I've been to several of his songwriting seminars and he is coming down to Australia in June to run the main seminars and workshops at the Australian Songwriters Conference which I'm organising. His official website is www.jasonblume.com and he has a myspace site at www.myspace.com/jasonblumesongwriterIf you can get him there, you won't be disappointed.

Yeah, Jason Blume is high on my list, having read a couple of his books. I did contact him last year when he had a workshop tentative ly planned in Portland. Plans fell through, though, so I'm still looking.
Thanks, Rocky
