Probably this has been posted before, but I found this today and I thought I might share it. It has the key/song structure for all the Beatles's' released material.

That was some deep stuff. Cool reading but ya gotta ask why. I’m sure any one of the Beatle’s would read what was written about their structure and go “we did all that?”

Alan W. Pollack should teach a college class on all that. That is what will be taught to people a hundred years from now, and beyond anyway. (BUT,,they'll say,,,,,"humans actually wrote and played music"? How primitive! And they'll also say, "what does voice inflection mean"?
I think just listening to their songs is all you need to get all that was said in a scientific way. More fun too, just to hear and feel it all,,,and differently every time, if allowing for that.
Facts schmacts! "Just give me the truth", in sound!
And I thought I was obsessed. Pollack's got us all "Beat"les

Q. What is the difference between a genius and an analyst?
A. One just does it without even thinking and the other writes volumes on possible reasons why.

A. One just does it without even thinking and the other writes volumes on possible reasons why. Yep. I recently read "The Songs of John Lennon The Beatles Years" by John Stevens from Berklee press and came away with that same feeling. It goes into amazing detail and takes the songs apart note by note as though John really thought about all those things when writing them. I finally just put the book away without finishing it. I know it's full of good stuff, but I also know John just wrote the songs and while certainly there was a level of technical knowledge of what he was doing, I think it was more emotion than technique. Of course I could be wrong. KAC
