December 28th, 2007 The 2nd annual Omaha Entertainment & Arts Awards is here. Celebrating the best in Live Music, Performing Arts & Visual Arts. Tickets are still available, click on “tickets” above to find out how you can see the show live! If you can’t make it to the Holland Performing Arts Center, you can see all the excitement on Channel 6’s sister station 62O (six-two-oh), cox channel 120. The night kicks off with The Omaha Buzz on the red carpet at 7pm, then at 7:30pm the curtain goes up on the most exciting awards show of the year! Join us as we celebrate Omaha’s creative class! The live broadcast show on January 3 from the Holland Performing Arts Center opens with “Omaha All Stars: past, present and future.” A wide collection of Omaha Musicians Association union artists will play an arrangement covering music in Omaha from the Trans Mississippi Expo through today. The audience will see a spectrum of performers from different genres, eras and backgrounds together on one stage. The January 3 awards show will also feature performances by: Anchondo (Best Rock nominee) Sarah Benck & The Robbers (Artist of the Year, Best Adult Alternative, Best Blues, Best Local Show and Best Local Album nominee) Breathless (Best Hip Hop/Rap nominee) Coyote Bones (Best New Artist nominee) Mariachi Zapata (Best Ethnic nominee) The Moving Company (Best Local Dance Production nominee) Paria (Best Hard Rock/Metal/Punk nominee) Scene from “Resolutions” (Best Original Script nominee) Cameras and attendance encouraged, press asked to RSVP with Marjorie Maas (402.991.1560) by 12.26 to service needs for seating and placement.
