What is the simplest way to copyright a song? I already have the forms.

The simplest way to do it would be to give the forms to your wife and tell her to fill them out and send them in while you watch football on TV.
Or you could do it yourself.

Good answer Truman. Also have her write the songs!
I record my songs on a cassette tape, label it with Name, Address, Copyright symbol, Song titles. I fill out the form, either PA or PA Short form, with song titles as I only register 3 or 4 songs at at a time. No lyric sheets, but you can include them, Make out a check put it in a 6x9 envelope and send to address on the forms.
It usually takes 3 to 6 months to get your registration back but you can start submitting your songs as soon as it is stamped at the local Post Office. I usually wait a week or so to make sure the package doesn't come back and then I submit songs to contacts that may be looking for that type of song.

Thanks, Truman. That's just the kind of advice I was hoping for.

I guess you'll have to do it yourself, since your wife is too busy in the kitchen today. Why don't you get some MAJOR kudos and ask her if she would like you to set the table. 10 minutes of things like that go a really loooonnnnngggg way. Dare ya!

Monica. Why don't you go watch some old episodes of "Days Of Our Lives".

Monica,
Naaaaaah, it don't work that way.
Ya gotta be a lazy , good for nothing layabout, sh@t musician, with a wife that picks up after you. Otherwise the musical vibes just don't happen.
cheers, niteshift

And a really good stir it was I might add.
And pretty true, LOL
I am deer hunting and going to my Brother's for Turkey today. I don't have to cook or even do dishes.
My wife has to work today.
