Hello JPF I already finished arranging all the tracks our song Let It Fall. This song was created from the songwriters challenge by JEan in the songwriters forum. Bree wrote a lyrics and I provide a melody. This song still need some polishing and the tracks are still open for revisions. Any comments and suggestions for further improvement of this song will be highly appreciated. Here is the site and pls do click the lo fi because the hifi is in chipmunks. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/songInfo.cfm?bandID=664309&songID=5834151On behalf of Bree who is so busy in her job, Thank you very much. Lynman

Bree-- beautiful vocal. Nice delivery and emotion going on there! Lynman-- very nice melody and arrangement. Good rock ballad. I'd like to read the lyrics.
My only nit here is that the vocal sounds possibly overcompressed or over-effected, reverbed, or something. I can tell the singing is gorgeous. But on my end it sounds a little like it's in a barrel. I can't quite put my finger on it.
Still--very nice collab, guys!! Easy to listen to. I like the strings part too.
Linda

I can hear this but the singer is sounding like the Chipmunks for some reason, must be something in the transmission. I am dying to hear this in real time because even w/the squeaking chipmunk sound the melody is sounding fantastic. Is it just me or others hearing it like I am????? I am familiar with the lyics from before when Bree had wrote them but it would be nice to see them posted under the post or Sounclick.
Best, Lynn P.S. Besides being a medical doctor Lynman it sounds like you're a doctor of melodies also!!!!!

My mistake. I should've read Lynman's post slower. I had hit the hi-fi so now I will hit the low-fi. That's why it's important to read the fine print. Sorry.

I liked the melody and the arrangement. Nice use of the breakdown near the end. I also liked the vocals but they sounded sort of muffled to me. I had a hard time understanding the lyrics. Nice job on this one.

Hey Lynman - Hey Bree:
Pretty song. Agree with those who think the vocal processing is off. Not sure what effect you have going there but maybe back off on it.
Might be a hair too long for commercial?
Sounds like I'm picking on it but I really liked it. Seems like the kinda thing a diva would like to get ahold of and really let loose on.
Nice job - both of you!
Scott

The lo-fi quality is pretty bad at soundclick. I am probably sure that the hi-fi would be about 10X better. Check that your wav file is 16bit and 44,100 khz before you convert it to MP3. That is usually the cause of the "chipmunk" effect.
I just can't listen to the lo-fi version.

Marlene Thanks for dropping by. The lyrics was posted in the songwriters forum in jean forum songwriters challenge number 3. Here is the link in JPF http://www.jpfolks.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=493158&page=19#Post493158Robert Your appreciation to our songs is so inspiring. Thanks. Linda Thanks for the suggestions. I will consider that and try to limit the reverb of the vocals. I still have several of my singer unused vocal tracks I will check it again and see which one will fit especially on the last one. The lyrics is in the songwriters forum. heres again the link. http://www.jpfolks.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=493158&page=19#Post493158ALl of the elements I used mostly strings except the drum part. Lynn I know you still want to listen this song in demo or fully arrange version. The song is in the process of becoming a baby. WEre near to that stage. I still owe you your lyrics, remember? Dont worry I will finished that too once we are all through with our project compilation. Got already the melody. Try to ask the same singer to sing it. Mark and Scott Thank you for your suggestion I will deal with that especially the muffled one. The dry vocal sounded fine but when you apply some reverb everything will change even the silent pop or the pop you never heard on the dry recording will appear. The nice thing about it is you still have to change it before you mass produce it. Im enjoying this arranging especially the use of Antares and some nice plug ins where you can manipulate the recorded vocals and the instruments Scott Thanks to one of my mentor in this forum. I appreciate you visit and your suggestion. I still have the dry vocals but I think I need to reaarange the last part and get some nice material just incase I want to apply some efffects like the reverb. Kevin Thanks for the suggestion in soundclick. I am not versatile using cubase sx at the moment especially the exporting of your finished works. When I choose the 16 bit the song file is very very small that I feel im not satisfied with the compression. I will try to export it again in the 16 bit. Lynman
