Hey guys, Not really a music video, but I wanted to post this as an example of the little guy making it all the way through. On another thread, I commented how my wife worked on a defeered payment basis, 18 months ago, for a low budget self funded film.( boom operater, audio ) These guys kept at it, Sony picked it up and finished it off, and now it's due for major release in November through Sony Pictures. I like the feelgood outcome about it, in that if you have the talent and tenacity, then anything is possible. There is hope for the little guy, I must keep telling myself that. Am going to see it, just for the credits of course. http://www.sonypictures.com.au/movies/gabriel/cheers, niteshift

Here at TCU we have released quite a few indy films. Here is a scene from "Date.con" written, directed, produced and edited by my friend and fellow co-worker Greg Mansur who is a professor in the Radio-TV-Film department where I word as a television engineer. He did this one for $3000 and shot at his home and in a restaurant after closing time. Here is a scene. http://www.research.tcu.edu/rgs/end...iframe=true&height=400&width=500

Hey JJ,
Yeah, I hope it does OK, but even if it doesn't, these guys really deserve full marks for carrying something through in a very tough business. Full credit where it's due.
Hey Samuel,
I'll be sure to check out the clip. Was it similar to the scenario above, where all the cast and crew were professional people working "on spec" ? i.e. money wasn't too much of a problem because the cast and crew have most of the gear, have to hire little, and everyone works essentially on the project ?
Am interested how these projects get off the ground, primarily from a "how do I get involved from a music director's" point of view. Have done music for short film, but not features, there doesn't seem to be too many being made where you can catch the wave early on in the production process.
cheers, niteshift

Hey Samuel,
That's a real fun Seinfeld moment. Funny clip. How about posting it on the Visual arts board ? It's worth a few more views.
cheers, niteshift
