Hi, all,
I was just lurkin around, up from Tampa to see what was happenin in Music City when I came across this thread. I got no dog in this fight so it was grotesquely entertaining, like a 45 car pile up on the other side of the freeway. Guess that makes me a rubber necker.
Anyway, I couldn't help but think there's a song in here. Call it the Centerville Tennessee War. There's all kinds of interesting characters like the Ice Queen, Wild Man, and The Canadian. You could disguise some identities and have Gallopin Bobbi Jo and Irish Mike. And, of course: You can get what you want and don't want at Jeremiah's Restaurant!
Jim Hey Jim thats pretty funny Anyway if you are ever in the area and want to hear a GREAT band stop in.

Who cares if his name is real or not? Many artists use a "fake" name for marketability.

Since I am seriously considering moving to the Nashville area I thought I'd drop down here to the Nashvlle Chapter forum and see what the latest scuttlebutt is.
Then I seen this thread. And I started reading. I also see it's a pretty old thread.
I am going to be in staying in Centerville for a week in July. From there I will be scouting the area to see where I want to live once I make the move. I am no professional musician. I am just a wannabe songwriter who wants to be closer to the music. Country music that is. Besides, I am tired of the winters here.
It is interesting that one of the areas I was really looking at was Bon Aqua or Dickson.
Then I found this thread.
I just want to be in an area where I can find like minded songwriters and decent folks to make friends with.
OH! I might add. This Bobbie person that you folks are referring to; I'll be a guest at her home for the week I will be there. I also hope to meet up with Mike Dunbar for a cup of joe if he has the time.
She is one of the nicest people I know. I don't know the other folks on this thread except for Mike Dunbar. And he is also one of the nicest people I know. I expect I will pay a visit to Jeremiahs place at least once during my visit. I have to see for myself.
So where does that leave me?

It makes you an open-minded person, which I think is honorable.

Bill, If you happen to like Blues, check out my pal Stacy Mitchhart and Blues You Can Use at The Bourbon Street Boogie Bar in Printers Alley. They're the house band, and are there wed-sat and they're AWEWSOME! This may be none of my buisness, cuz I've never been to Jeremiah's or met him, but I too can vouch for Bobbie and Mike's character, and their standing in the musical community is beyond reproach. I find it strange that most of the people bashing them are anonymous 1 or 2 time posters.

A few years ago I was in Nashville and caught Stacy at Bourbon Street. Stacey is a true master of the guitar and the rest of the band is equally talented on their instruments. Worth a stop if you have the time!

Jerry, Stacy's terrific. A dear old friend of mine, the late Tom "the Hitman" Cerone, used to play drums in his band. As a matter of fact, we had two benefits for Tom at Bourbon Street. Bob, I don't recall anyone bashing me on this thread. That usually happens either at other websites or at home Bill, keep rockin' in Nashvegas.
You've got to know your limitations. I don't know what your limitations are. I found out what mine were when I was twelve. I found out that there weren't too many limitations, if I did it my way. -Johnny Cash It's only music. -niteshift Mike Dunbar Music

Well folks I went Sorry but I can't say anything about Jeremiah. He wasn't there. The club is very low tech, nice simple place with good food. Kind of reminded me of being in a small school auditorium with rows of tables set up on the floor instead of seats, and a stage. Acoustics were , well, there were none. The place has a concrete floor and a low ceiling height. It is fairly large, couple thousand square feet. The night I was there was local amateur Karaoke night. It was kind of nice. The MC was good and the local folks seemed to be enjoying themselves. Can't really ask for more than that. I think it would be a great place for people to get together and just Jam. It is large enough you could probably have a decent show as well. Plenty of room to dance and plenty of seating. Next time I am in the area I will stop in again.
I need to add. My primary focus on the trip was to look for real estate. I want to move to the area and we spent the days looking at houses. Not much time was devoted to the music scene
