This is kind of a neat experience that recently happened to me. I work as a kindergarten teacher in a Catholic School, and the school board contacted me back in March and asked me to help them write a song for Catholic Education Week. They got me a supply teacher on 3 different occasions, and I went to the board office to write a song. The only framework I had was to write a song that would be catchy and easy enough for young primary students to sing along, yet sophisticated enough for highschool students to appreciate. I began by writing a verse and the chorus, and then I had 2 other teachers help me write another 2 verses. What resulted was this song "Created And Living In The Image Of Our God." We recorded it in my studio, and we had a school choir sing along in the chorus. A powerpoint slide show was created for the song, and copies of the song were sent to all of the schools in our board. It was a very neat experience. Of course I told them I'd be available to do this again next year, if they want me to. This version is simply a video demo done in my basement studio. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MUBIiLCXWpo

Russ: that's a fine song. I think it extends beyond just youngsters. I'm a lot older (than you) and I find it inspiring, as well. /Glen

Thank you very much, Glen. I have been hearing good things back from the teachers who've heard the song too. I'm glad it has an all-ages appeal.
