Love Undercover Copyright © 2007 Shayne Vaughan
She's been seein' a guy at work That she really shouldn't be She made a vow to someone else Back in 1993 Her husband won't try to help her Make things like they once were This new man makes her feel young He's ten years younger than her
Chorus: He sings that song to her by Ronnie McDowell "Older Women Are Beautiful Lovers" Someday they might go public with their feelings But for now they'll keep their Love Undercover
One day in the parking lot As they snuggled in his car He asked, "How far do you wanna go?" She said "I wanna go too far" So he drove to a private spot Down an old abandoned road As their passion fogged the view Their seeds of love were sown
Chorus: Again he sang that song to her by Ronnie McDowell "Older Women Are Beautiful Lovers" Someday they might go public with their feelings But for now they'll keep their Love Undercover
Bridge: She returned home one night To find her husband cheating too She moved in with her new love To complete her rendezvous
Chorus: She loves to hear him sing that song by Ronnie McDowell "Older Women Are Beautiful Lovers" Today they went public with their feelings They no longer keep their Love Undercover

Hi Shayne Good hook to work with here. Not sure if using the two syllables for ninteen in the best use for the real estate. Seems like you should use '93 and another descriptive word there. Also I didn't like hearing the name at the end of the sentence so I played with it a bit...of course if you have music and it sounds good, just ignore me. Anyway, that's what I have on the first read. Good luck jm Woos her with the Ronnie McDowell song 'n his singing "Older Women Are Beautiful Lovers" Someday they might go public with their feelings But for now they'll keep their Love Undercover

Thanks Joice Marie.
I haven't recorded the melody yet, but in my mind, the meter works in the Ronnie McDowell line you mentioned.

Nothin' to really nit, ShayneMeister...tho this is kinda Matter-of-Fact Reportage here. Lacks the Wit of, say, "Third Rate Romance, Low-Rent Rendezvous" or the Delightful Twist of "She Let Herself Go"...
I'd prolly be More Sympathetic for the Gal here if she discovered Her Hubby cheating on her First...THEN goin' for the Younger Guy.
Good Luck with it...It'll still play well-enough for the Older Gal Set, Methinks.
