MEMORIES HOLD MY HEART TOGETHER
V1 I still have a few treasures of when you were here a vanity with a lighted mirror a silver brush that stroked your golden hair even a photo of us dancing together
Chorus Memories hold my broken heart together Keeping bits and pieces in place so, when it's better I'll be able to love again
V2 In the drawer are two things I prefer being out of sight A little music box which played "That's Amore' " and a blue satin garter you wore on our wedding night (steel break) Someday I'll throw these things away but, I need more time to heal I'm not ready to let go of hope of holding you again so I'll keep these souveigners till then
bridge love is at best a roll of the dice if your lucky it's magic sometimes it's tragic but life would not be worthwhile without it I have these keepsakes to hold onto the memories and repeat chorus

Dennis:
Lots of really good stuff here. I was more moved by the verse following the steel break, just before the bridge - than I was the chorus. "Someday I'll throw these things away..." may make for a more significant chorus.

Hi Darby Thanks for checking it out. I felt the chorus was too short, so mabe you're right. Maybe even change the title.
