I wrote and recorded this song after getting (yet another) rejection letter complete with ways I should re-write one of my songs. Kathy helped with some of the lines. Complete with 100% pitch correction Cher effects on my vocals and all the fake canned drums I could add. Just for fun (and to blow off some steam) http://www.badbetsy.com/music.htmlYa Wanna? Words / Music: John Taylor / Kathy Bampfield ©2007 Hurt me love me Tell me what you want. Ya wanna? Squeeze me tease me I’ll give you all I’ve got. Ya wanna? Touch me love me I’ll get down on my knees. I wanna Feel you taste me Anything to please In you on you Anything is fine. Ya wanna? Heat me eat me Just for this time. Ya wanna? Teach me to reach you Tempt me with your love. I wanna Hold you and scold you We fit just like a glove Please me seize me Take me all inside Ya wanna? Move me soothe me Take me for a ride. Ya wanna? Possess me digest me There’s nothing else to hide. You’re gonna Change me arrange me Everythings a lie

Man, I love the "vocoder" vocals and the way the answers are "real" vocals...opposite of the norm. Fine arrangement and cool guitar.
Good work, Iggy.
Mike
You've got to know your limitations. I don't know what your limitations are. I found out what mine were when I was twelve. I found out that there weren't too many limitations, if I did it my way. -Johnny Cash It's only music. -niteshift Mike Dunbar Music

Iggy:
This is cool! SERIOUSLY cool!
Great lyric!
Part of me wonders if a two line refrain after each verse would add to it. Dunno - don't know what it would be anyway...
Love this....

Great song. Could be mixed with even more of a techno feel - lots of bass, etc.

Tom, Yes actually I did feel better after writing it. “Music’s my medicine”. Yeah my bass is just like a new girlfriend, good looking, cost a lot and it won’t make me dinner ether. Mike, thanks. No guitars, though. All keys! John, We have enough to do already, but thanks! Scott, There you go with those big music words. A two-line refrain? I’ll ask John, he’s smart. Kathy! You should remember it! I stayed up all night recording it so we could have something to give this big time publisher the next day. I sent you the MP3 that night. The next day, I remember you squeezing my arm and saying No, No Iggy Don’t give it to him. No Iggy, please”. We didn’t and I’m a still friend with him. Good call. You always had the brains in our team. Ant, thanks. Techno, hmmn. Perhaps. T-Bob, Yes you’re right. I always include a SASE and it was good I received a written letter back with suggestions. At least they listened. That’s half the battle. I’ll keep this one and “Insane” up on my site for a few more days, then it’s off to the vault they go quietly waiting for an opportunity to be heard.

Good luck, Lori Stillwell

Me, too, Lori. Sorry I missed it, Iggy.
"Grits is one of those country-boy words that is both singular and plural-like deer, elk and sheep. I think the singular is appropriate when there's a modifier that makes it clear one is talking about something specific. Like, 'Grits are good for you, but these here grits is tasty.'"~~Joe Wrabek

Ha! Ain't music and songwriting fun? This song started with me being pissed off, writing and recording a song and then saying I wonder what I'd sound like if I push this button. Thanks everyone for the comments and wanting to hear this song again. Hey I’m always up for an encore. Here it is…… my best “Cher” impersonation. Ya Wanna?
