Hi Folks,
Today was mostly clearical detail type work. Putting together a list of all the nominees and their contact info and double checking spelling errors on the nominee list etc.. The amount of minor details that can be or go wrong is staggering.
I am also re-formatting all the song files (one at a time ack..) to rename them for posting on the website. I still have to get it done and then mail a drive to hostbaby, so we're likely still a week away from posting anything. Doing it on line should save us a lot of other work, but it's not easy to get that much music posted and linked correctly.
Rockstar ended tonight.. it was predicatable.. I said the first week that the little punk rocker seemed over-qualified for the job/show. He was already a Warner Chappell staff writer in Canada and does the theme songs/sings for 2 series on the Cartoon network. He presented himself as a nobody amateur a lot which seemed like he doth protest too much. He even stated before the show he was a waited at Hooters. Possible.. but an odd thing for a musician with so much going on in his career to be working at Hooters and not doing music full time. I noticed that no one else ever made similar claims at being nobodies.. which made his over-emphasis a little curious. Now that he's been chosen (and he's talented.. don't get me wrong.. far more than last year's winner) it just all seems a little too predicatable. The good news is that the exposure has been great for all the other artists and JPF'ers Ryan and Storm both have singles coming out and both songs are very strong. Storm, by the way, got 2 nominations in our awards this year with her band The Balls.
We're only about 10% of the way to our goal for judges, so if you want to participate, please sign up. Link is on the home page. We actually have more industry judges signed on than peers or fans.
That's the latest from me..

I have already signed up to be a judge... One of the best ways to help JPF and support the awards program is to help with the judging. It is a very interesting esperience, and a wonderful way to get to know A LOT of JPF members' music. Please...help out.....support the awards program...support JPF..volunteer to be a judge Emily ------------------ http://emilysanders.net

That's odd, because that guy was the one guy I didn't like on the one episode I did watch. Jody ------------------ Music That Makes Your Soul Happy! www.jodywhitesides.com
