Jeff, missed your show due to being out of town--I work on the road a bunch for my 'day job', but here's the short writeup I did for the Columbia Free Times on you, in case you missed it...btw, the lyrics comment isn't a slam, it's an acknowledgement that even though your voice reminded me of Farrar, your lyrics didn't--they make a whole lot more sense than his do...
Jeff O’Kelley—This Florida-based singer-songwriter has a deadpan, baritone delivery not unlike Jay Farrar, but his lyrics have a ways to go before they reach the universal obtuseness of the former Uncle Tupelo/Son Volt leader’s best work. O’Kelley’s latest disc, **Just Passing Through**, was produced by North Carolina legends Don Dixon (Smithereens, R.E.M.) and Jamie Hoover (of the Spongetones), though, so it sounds phenomenal coming out of even my tiny laptop speakers. 9:00 PM, Jammin Java **K. Oliver**

Thanks for the writeup on Jeff, Kevin. I missed him myself on "government" business out of town. Need to break a leg so I can stay home more often or something.....hehehe! ------------------ Montez Simmons Director, Carolina Music Industry Coalition www.carolinamusicindustrycoalition.orgJPF-South Carolina (Columbia)
