What a great meeting we had tonight!!! Way beyond my expectations in turnout and quality of people. We had Tom Rockwell aka Devo Spice, www.suddendeath.org, members of the Joe College Band, www.joecollegeband.com (I think) members of Simon Circle (the site's not up yet) and some freelancers looking for bands such as Pat Burns, pedal steel extordanaire. We will be setting up an open mic at our next meeting to be posted here. We started plans for gigs at festivals, charity events, bars and much more. We are also planning a steady JPF night once a week at a local bar yet to be announced. We are ready to perform for the JPF tour, so Brian, you are missing out if you don't include this fun bunch of energetic, fun and talented musicians. I look forward to working with all of you. I will post info on the above plans as they become more tangible. Peace, Love and God Bless! Busterman Eros, Philia, Agape.

That was a great meeting last night. I came out of it very excited about what we talked about doing. I'm really looking forward to working with you guys. Just for reference, here are some links with info on what I do: Sudden Death web site: http://www.suddendeath.org EPK: http://www.sonicbids.com/suddendeath MySpace: http://www.myspace.com/suddendeath I don't have a lot of contacts at venues. And I don't have much of a local following (yet). So I'm not going to be much help with either finding places to play or getting people to come see us. I kind of got into the industry backwards. I get national radio play on the Dr. Demento Show, which means my fans are scattered across the country. I have a bit of a following in the Chicago area, and also in Vermont thanks to my sister. Other areas of the country I really don't know about yet. Where I can help out is with any creative work that needs to be done. I have degrees in Illustration and Graphic Design, and am a self-taught multimedia programmer. I know Director, Flash, HTML, and PHP. So I can help design shirts, fliers, posters, web sites, etc., anything we may need. As I mentioned at the meeting last night I'm taking part in the jerseyshows.com Battle Of The Bands. I made a big impression at round 1 and was advanced to round 2, which is Sunday, April 24th at Connections in Clifton. If any of you guys can make it to this show I'd appreciate it. I have 50 tickets to sell and ticket sales are part of my score. So the more tickets I sell the more likely I'll advance to the next round. And I'm not much of a salesman so I really need some help in this area. Other shows I have coming up- this weekend I'll be at I-CON, a big sci-fi convention in Long Island. I'm performing at the cabaret Saturday night and have a 1 hour concert on Sunday afternoon. Then on June 17th (Thursday) I'm performing in Rhode Island as part of the Block Island Music Festival. Those are the only gigs I have confirmed for the spring, so I'm always looking for more. I recently finished up my new album Die Laughing, which I'll be releasing on my own label FIDIM Interactive, LLC. I'm expecting the CDs back from the replicator soon. I've already started taking orders for the CDs on my web site but I'm telling people the "street date" is in June. That'll give me a couple months to properly promote the album to radio and retail even though it'll be available in a couple days. OK that's enough rambling. I should probably get some work done. ->Later.....Spice

Rats! I had been off the boards for a while and didn't know there was a meeting. I hope to make the next one though. Sounds like you're off to a great start! Thanks, Busterman, for taking the lead!! ------------------ Woogie! Bubboon, the Royal Fool www.bubboon.com

Thanks for the post Devo. Yeah, I had fun and I'm excited too.
No problem Buboon. This is just the beginning.

"If one man can do it, any man can do it. It is true. But the real question is, if one man did it, are you willing to do what it takes to do it as well?" –Brian Austin Whitney
