Hi Folks, Our official Roadtrip date for Kansas City is Saturday, August 20th, 2005. We will use this page to post all the pertinent information as it becomes available. The first thing we need is to find out how many of you would like to perform at this Showcase. Once we have a general idea of the interest and the types of acts performing, we can book the appropriate type/size venue and create a lineup. If you'd like to sign up, please read the Roadtrip FAQ which will give you complete details on how the events work and how to sign up to participate. Here's a link to the guidelines and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for this year's Roadtrips. Please take a look and if you still have questions, let us know. http://www.justplainfolks.org/ubb/Forum9/HTML/000128.html If you have specific questions about THIS city and event, please post them here. If you have general questions on the Roadtrip, please post them on the FAQ page so that everyone may benefit from the answer. We need at least 20 interested member/performers to book a showcase. We need at least 10 interested members to book a gathering/meeting/workshop and if we have less than 10 interested members in any city, we'll either meet for dinner with those interested or skip the city on this trip. So please sign up today! Also, you are welcome to perform in any city at any event that happens, but please ONLY sign up if you are seriously planning to be there. Unannounced NO SHOWS can get you removed from any future showcase slots or opportunities, or placed last in the performance order. Short Biography/Introduction: Hello, my name’s Timothy S. Epperhart, - you might not have heard of me, but I’m a singer songwriter based in mid-Missouri. I’m on my 3’rd solo Acoustic Record. My personal V.I.P. soundclick.com website has received over 2,368+ song plays and downloads via internet since mid. December of 2004 – and my music is internationally recognized. I'm also a member of the NSAI (Nashville Songwriters Association International) and I have a pending contract with ASCAP. I’m interested in being listed as a performer for this years event on Sat, Aug 20'th in Kansas City, MO Since the launch of my last record; “The Invisible Man” – I’ve been deeply involved in my writing and my music along with my wife as she sings backup vocals for me when we perform live. Unfourtunately I havent been able to get out and play local venues because she has been sick in the hospital. I’m grateful for any and all support I have found along the way. So if you’re interested; write me back, my e-mail is malkutht@yahoo.com Thank you for your time, Timothy S. Epperhart http://www.soundclick.com/timothysepperhart ----- I want to sign up for the following dates: Sat, Aug 20: Kansas City, MO* Mon, Aug 22: Springfield, IL* ----- Note: I live in Columbia, Missouri and I have read the full FAQ for this years event. But seeing as I know of one or two places that would probably be more then willing to showcase jpfolks.com talent. For those of us musicians who live in Mid-Missouri, and trust me there are a lot of talented people out here i've come to know it would be an honor to take up the role in getting everything orginized. But i'm definitely going to want to make it out to KC for this event. ---- Venues: The Music Cafe, Columbia MO Info: Laid back environment, holds open mic about once a week. Holds concerts and events for people both local and passing through the area. I know the guy who does the booking. Their PA system is good too, and it doesnt matter if your just a songwriter with a guitar or a band on the run. The Thirsty Turtle (On thursdays) Holds an open mic once a week on Thursdays- the guy who runs it is a singer/songwriter by the name of Shannon Morris ( www.shannonmorris.com) Real cool dude. But a decision like that would have to be on his shoulders because the arena is pretty small and everyone would have to make it out early about 8:00 to be listed. ---- So far as 10 people for MY city is concerned, i'll try to gather at least 10 performers votes to see that jpfolks.com gets here to Columbia. ----- Sincerely, Timothy S. Epperhart http://www.soundclick.com/timothysepperhart
