Our next Professional Growth interrum meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 25, from 7 pm to about 9:30 pm. This meeting is open to all Tampa Chapter JPF members. At this meeting, we will start off discussing what we have been doing to date to achieve our goals, and what kind of success we have had, problems encountered, etc. We probably won't get through all this at this meeting. So come prepared with some serious forethought on this. First-timers to this meeting should also be prepared to discuss what your goals are. Cindy And Frank LaRosa have offered to host this meeting. I will email directions to their place to all who respond to this post that they want to attend and that I have email addresses for. Again, I don't want to post personal info on these boards for security reasons. Please come self contained with whatever you may need, such as pencil, paper, drinks, or any snacks. Since people are kind enough to volunteer to host these meetings, we should minimize our impact on their places. Please respond either by email to me or on the JPF board, with the board being preferred. We hope to see you there! ------------------ Stone Marmot retro pop-rock original music www.stonemarmot.com www.soundclick.com/stonemarmot.htm www.myspace.com/stonemarmot [This message has been edited by Andy K (edited 04-15-2006).]

I'm brand new here but I'd like to attend. I work nights and need to be at work at 8:45. So it depends on whether I could attend but leave early, and the particular location will dictate when I would need to leave.
My email is available on this board.

Hi All! Hope to see some of you at the meeting. Please e-mail Andy for the directions etc. FYI: We will also have some extra refreshments and some finger foods for people...so no sweat if you forget or don't bring any of your own. Please let us know how many will be attending so I know which room to set up in....living room, slouch style or clear out dining area and set up lotsa chairs!! Thanks folks and we hope to see you on the 25th! Cin and Frank

I will be there if my daughter doesn't have a softball game. She is on the C.C.C. team and they have made the district finals. As much as I want them to advance, I hate to miss the meeting. The sacrifices of parenthood. Jules

I can't believe it!
The last interim meeting fell on my oldest daughter's birthday, and this one falls on my youngest daughter's birthday! Oh well. I should be able to make next month's. No birthdays in May!

I sent an email this morning to all who had previously expressed an interest in these meetings with directions to the LaRosas' place. If you don't receive it by Sunday and you're interested, contact me and I'll send directions to you Monday. Well, this is something that I would benefit from ,,,but with working all week and preparing for the next Sunday BBQ shindig, I'll need to pass. I'll join in at another one later on though. ------------------ Atchya'Later, Ms.Goody Mellow Melodies with Goody Internet Radio show at www.PeaceMaker-Web.com

I was able to attend and first I want to thank Andy for organizing, Al the Pal for delegating and Cindy/Frank for hosting. From my recollection it was pretty well agreed that getting your song or recording into the mainstream of radio programming was a longshot, even if you are young and easily manipulsted by the powers that be. So we covered alternative marketing venues (such as Hotdisc and the European Country Music Association) and enhancement opportunities (such as Nashville Songwriters Association International and Jana Stanfield's book on how to make money on your own CD or Cassette). A little independent research on any of those topics should prove beneficial. I later checked out the reviews of the Jana Stanfield book on Amazon and our Andy K. is not alone in raving about the helpful advice it contains for songwriters. I'm getting one today. I'm also looking forward to the next interim meeting. And hey, don't forget the first Song Swap coming up May 8. Lots of confirms but few have requested directions. Well? ------------------ Steve Dockendorf "Quality music for quality people" dockendorf2000@yahoo.com www.soundclick.com/stevedockendorf

Glad to hear that everything went well. Sounds like ya'll are covering some interesting topics. I really need to make the next one.I have been slammed this week working on a special project and was just exhausted. We are also getting ready to leave on vacation tomorrow and I'm behind schedule getting ready for that. I guess it will be a late night tonight. Al
