Just curious, I'm new to the group and didn't make the kick-off party, is there ever a time where you don't meet on Sundays?

Steve, Yeah, we pretty much always showcase on close to the last Sunday of the month. Soon we will be holding interim meetings that will focus more on personal growth and education. They will probably be mid month. We hope you can make the 26th though. Keep Strummin' Al

I'll be there as long as I get my guitar back from the shop in time. Being that this will be my first meeting, can anyone tell me what to expect? Such as, how much time is alloted for each member to showcase his/her original music? Thanks, Steve

Steve, Expect around 40 - 60 local artists and friends. There will be a sign up sheet circulating, first come first serve so get there early. We generally have 20 to 30 sign ups so 2 songs each is the rule. You will have the opportunity to meet some great local players so shine your boots. Looking forward to meeting you. It is preferable for you to bring your own instrument but under the circumstances I am sure I can find an instrument for you to play. My Wechter accoustic/electric guitar will be there and you are welcome to play it. So come on in and get your feet wet! Jerry

Another successful monthly meeting and showcase. With fifty members, family and friends in attendance our February event went like clockwork. We couldn't do this without our T-Bay staff. During the month our co-coordinator Jerry Jakala does allot behind the scenes to coordinate with fellow members and insure a smooth sailing experience. Thanks also to Dan Copeland and Andy Karpinski who not only help with their drums and amps but with helping to manage the stage and run sound throughout the event. It has always been our experience that when anything needs to be done one or more of our members will step up and lend of their expertise. We thank all of you for your sincere cooperation. Those who performed were Barry Moses Carl Wade David Hurd Alex Wolfe Parnes Don Noble Jeff Blake Esther Grondahl Al Alvarez Eric Scott Geremy Bovenzi Jefferey Bennett accompanied by the T-Bay Band "Horsefeathers" consisting of Dan Copeland, Andy Karpinski, Alex Parnes and fro JoDell's band T-Bone on lead guitar. "JoDell" Welcome to new members... Steven Judge Geremy Bovenzi Jim Crews Rock Hard Cafe was a great venue to come back to and their staff and stage were very accommodating. Thank you Terry Anderson and staff. Some of our members donated CDs, guitar strings and even a 20' mic cord so that we could raffle these items off with the proceeds to be forwarded on to Lewis Cougill and family. I am glad to announce that we will be sending a cashiers check for $109. in the mail today. Lewis we know this is a drop in the bucket to losing everything you own but also hope it will help in small way. Our prayers are with you and your family. Just wanted to express my gratitude for being included in your showcase last night. As a first-timer, it was a thrill to meet the people whose names I have read and finally put faces to those names. I was astounded by the amount of talent assembled within one room. It was indeed an honor to meet and associate with you all. I'm looking forward to doing it all again!

As a new member of JPF, I didn't know what to expect from the meeting, but I walked away with a fantasic impression. I could feel the camaraderie and support in the room the minute I walked in! Being a pretty shy guy, I only talked to a handful of people, but next time I'll try to do a better job of making the rounds. Oh, and thanks to whoever let me use the guitar amp and the person who set it up for me! Looking forward to seeing you all next month.

Hey JoDell & Jerry, Thanks Guys…You two make me blush. I’m doin’ it for the fun of it, and it has taken this long to begin to be fun doin’ it! (Possible Song?). I got a little flustered when my “Tack-a-mee-mee” had technical problems (who do I owe a 9-Volt battery to?).
By the way, if any of you REAL performers like any of my stuff, I’d be honored if any of you would use/perform/record one my songs.
There’s a “mountain” of songwriting talent in our little Tampa chapter. Just to let you know, J.Kelly and J.Hawkins are my heroes.
Again, thanks for the compliment. Don Noble

Don,
Forget about the 9V...I'd give up ten of 'em to hear you sing that "damned old rodeo" song...
