Hi everyone, Patchwork, a five-piece bluegrass band made up of five fine female musicians from Gainesville will be performing for the first time in the Tampa area on Sunday, November 2, at 5 pm (after the Bucs game) at Woodlawn Presbyterian Church (this is not a religious concert), 2612 12th St. N., St. Petersburg. Tickets are only $5.00 and are available at the door. Kids under 12 are free and there will be light refreshments. If you need more info or directions, please let me know. Here's some background on them: Patchwork is made up of five women from Gainesville who like to play everything from original Florida folk to forties swing to rhythm & blues, all in bluegrass style! They have been a favorite on the mainstage at the Florida Folk Festival for over 10 years. Well-blended harmonies mix with a sisterly rapport that can only come from years of singing together. Award-winning banjoist and fiddler, Tammy Murray makes her instruments sound great in any musical genre. They epitomize the idea that "Girls just want to have fun" - and ensure everyone at one of their concerts has a great time, too! Thanks for your time! Donna ------------------ http://donnaklein.com
