I hope this is the right place to post this - I think it's useful information: I've just written an article for the O'Reilly Digital site that explains in detail the process of recording a song in a Nashville studio. It includes MP3 examples showing the process of building an arrangement and mix - for example, you can hear instruments soloed and then hear how they all work together. You can find it here: http://www.oreillynet.com/pub/a/oreilly/digitalmedia/2005/07/27/nashville.html Spencer Critchley Producer http://www.spencercritchley.com

Spencer-
I just have to tell you, I was a big fan of 80's rock ballads, although I never was crazy about the Bad English arrangement of that song. The way you guys did it sounds GREAT! I love it. Great article too.

Bookmarked it for later reading. I did a quick scan and it looks like it's going to some pretty good and interesting reading. I appreciate it. ------------------ Miltenberger Homes
