Anyone here have an Ensoniq ZR-76? I bought one for my school (well, the school paid for it, I chose it). I think for the money at the time it was the best thing on the market, the only one at the time (1999) that I remember seeing that had an onboard rhythm machine that could send the rhythm tracks directly to the onboard sequencer. And I think it plays w/ a great feel, esp. the "Perfect Piano". Of course, now they're out of production, Ensoniq's pretty much defunct as a producer of keyboards, which is a shame. My problem is I need repair work on it (buttons don't respond well or sometimes at all), and this repair shop here in St. Louis said I would have to ship it all the way to California, where they said there was ONE guy who had bought up ALL Ensoniq parts when they were bought out, and in effect, this one guy has a monopoly on all Ensoniq repairs nationally - anyone else had this experience? Thanks, jazzer in St. Louis
