Nahhhh... I don't think so ... why don't you just send it on over to me [Linked Image]

Just the fact that they don't make those Guilds anymore adds value to the instrument.
When the original Guild sold .. the quality of the instrument went with it.

I've got a 76er. Spruce top, mahogany back and sides. Dark red finish. This guitar has been everywhere with me. Its priceless to me.
On another note, I saw one at the local Guitar Center, last year, that someone had tried to refinish with disasterous results. The bright side was the price tag of 999. I couldn't believe it. I paid 380 for mine brand new.
Still got er. Got er nashvilled right now to give her a little break. Fun to play too. Great sounding acoustic...The action can be addressed.

old guild's are like old martins. they're hard to beat and finding one in good shape can be hard too.
the question i guess you have to ask yourself is it worth hanging onto for sentimental reasons even if your're not playing it.
otherwise it might just make someone else really happy.
