country... Old Man Mountain Old man mountain home to rivers and eagles' nests your snowy pines leaning west are silver whiskers on a wise old face purple clouds shadow your peaks the years in your canyons speak to all whose words are just waste but old man mountain there's pipe smoke in puma lairs, wind through pines say someone's there living alone in your caves he's nearer both the earth and skies thinks winding paths are more civilized than roads mapped out and paved but was it a woman or a war or just pockets full of wind and chance does this world hold little anymore for a man holding just faith in his hands cos old man mountain you've been father to a man who longs to live off the land till it lives off him even so he thinks all he's heard about men being only dirt has been the soil of many a sin and old man mountain on the day that he died sundown across the hillside was a rose blooming from stone a fire in a cave burned dim come Spring that's where they'll find him a woman's photo by his bones old man mountain home to rivers and eagles' nests your snowy pines leaning west are faded whiskers on a wise old face (c)2004 Robert George

Rob,
I really like this:
cos old man mountain you've been father to a man who longs to live off the land till it lives off him even so he thinks all he's heard about men being only dirt has been the soil of many a sin
Nice images!
Alan
